FORGED BY HAND. CRAFTED WITH PRIDE. We opened our doors in 2008 with a few goals in mind: - to make the best beer and food possible - to utilize local business, artisans, farmers, and craftsmen whenever possible - to never sacrifice quality for growth Despite the challenges and obstacles along the way, we’ve done a pretty good job sticking to those principles. Going local isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the extra time, money, and effort. It’s better for the community, the local economy, and in the end, all of us. Doing things the right way, rather than the quick way, or cheaper way, is how we operate. It’s real. It’s authentic. It’s Old Forge Brewing Company. When you crack open a can of fresh

The soup was tasteless. The shrimp was over cooked and not shoots dressing on the salad. We had to ask for more things to make the meals complete. I really feel the shrimp was just put in the microwave. Service was slow and it wasn’t...busy. Didn’t complain to management. Way too expensive of a meal for what we experienced.More

We enjoyed a great lunch including the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had and some unique and tasty tacos. Good beer, too.

Decided to swing by...loved it! We live about 40 minutes away and decided we needed to get out for a dinner and drinks. My wife Googled brewpubs within 50 miles of us and Old Forge came up. I’ve known about them for years, didn’t know...they were in Danville. First, what a quaint downtown! This is easy to find and parking accessible along the street. Yes to the person who said you can scan the menu...there’s a limit re: being seated (and no waiting inside due to COVID)...but it’s a pandemic! They’ve made the best of a bad situation. I’ll admit it...I half stepped off the vegan wagon to the veg head wagon to have some poutine and it is as stellar! Just the way poutine should be ... salty, fatty, tasty. I had the black bean burger and my wife had the pulled pork...both were delicious and well priced. Appetizer, dinner for 2 and 3 drinks came to $50...very reasonable. Service was awesome! The young woman working the front desk was super nice, very efficient and worked well assisting the wait staff getting folks situated inside and out. Our waitress Kylie was super pleasant, just the right amount of attention, knew the menu and drink options fully...great service! We will be back!!More

After really liking the hour we spent at Rock God Brewing a stone's throw away, we all had huge expectations for a good lunch and drink selection at Old Forge. We were very disappointed. The beers were basic and not tasty. The service was slow...and required cell phone use to check menus. That's a nice little cute concept for niche tech markets, not rural Pennsylvania. So anyone without a cell phone on themselves, which can scan barcodes, or basically most people over the age of 60 can't order here. Single use paper menus are wasteful, but I'd rather waste a few more trees during covid era than prevent a lot of people from ordering. This experience, from the word go was disappointing.More

We stopped in for lunch while traveling. We parked behind the restaurant in the municipal parking lot. Very nice restaurant with a good selection of beers. We had the soup and sandwich lunch special. I had the chicken salad sandwich and pumpkin soup which was...very good. My husband had a burger and spinach cheese soup which he also enjoyed. Bridget was our server and she was very pleasant and efficient. We will definitely stop in again.More

Passing through town, picked this restaurant off my Maps recommendation.....because I rarely use TripAdvisor anymore; it’s become so user unfriendly. Anyway, the atmosphere here is great as was the staff. We did not partake in the beer but their selection was varied, to say the...least! I did however have the homemade birch beer (soda) and it was too sweet for me. We had the fried cheese curds and buffalo fried cauliflower for appetizers. Both were excellent. The buffalo on the cauliflower was tasty, tolerable and not overpowering. The burgers were great, and cooked to order. My daughter did not care at all for the chicken/Brie/cranberry sandwich. The chicken was dry, and according to her, certainly did not taste as good as the description sounded; it was a big disappointment. The tortilla chips which come standard on the sandwich plates are yummy and salty, but the beer cheese was awful. Maybe I just don’t like beer cheese, but no thank you! All in all a great place to eat and drink beer if you are into that!More

After appt at Geisinger, had lunch here. Good burger and chili, orchard chicken salad. Great beers! Atmosphere and service were spectacular. We'd come back for the live music, but won't make it a specific destination otherwise.

We only get to dine at the Old Forge Brewing once every 2 years when Rutgers football plays PSU at Beaver Stadium. If it werent a 7 hour round trip from home, I am quite sure we would be there more often. About the food...-- well, it is something you just have to taste. I know I love their version of a Cuban sandwich and the side chips with dip make you want more. My daufghter likes the Pulled Pork. Service is great and something they can be very proud of. And the prices, you can't beat them anywhere. If you are lucky enough to be anywhere near Danville, PA, you really should stop it and give their food a try. You won't regret it.More
