Tads has been one of my favorite places and hasnt changed thru the years. The food tastes amazing, the service was great, the atmosphere is fun and we didnt have to wait!!!! Good time was had by all!

This place has been in service since the 1920 and still going strong. Walk thru the doors and it looks like that too. sit at the tables by the window and admire the Sandy River flowing by as you wait for the Chicken & Dumplings....They are the only thing I have had there but well worth it many times....More

We really wanted to try this for a while but it's so far from Portland we normally don't get there. Glad we did!! We were tired so we just ordered their famous chicken n dumplings to go. Whoa. It was two bags of food!! The...chicken is moist and plentiful, gravy light yet perfectly seasoned, the dumplings huge baseballs of carb goodness. Then it comes with green beans, crudite and salad!! We'll be back!More

I am not sure what all the hoopla is about this restaurant - the chicken was fine, the gravy was tasty, and the dumplings were, well, giant balls of dough. But generally most items seemed overpriced for "country" cooking, and one of our dishes seemed...to have been quite stale. Of course the main reason for visiting this place is for the view along the river. Don't go if you looking for a "culinary" experience.More

Sitting on the porch provided a great view of the Sandy river. Reminded us of a Wisconsin supper club. Great atmosphere.

Unique place for a unique food you can’t get everywhere. Thought it could have more depth of flavor. A little pricey for what it is.

We love going to Tads and we always look forward to our next visit. The food portions are huge and the view of the river makes for a great dining experience.
