Met hubby after work to play a game of Golden Tee and enjoy frosty beverages! Atmosphere is comfortable! Pool tables, air hockey, darts & lots of TVs! Didn’t eat this time, but food is tasty and they always have a daily special!

This is a sports bar (emphasis on the word "bar") which is obviously popular with the locals. Lots of TVs for watching the game. If that's all you're looking for, then you'll probably do well here. However, this is TripAdvisor's "restaurant" category. A restaurant serving...decent food, this place is not. It may call itself a "pub" (and describe its food in a way suggesting it's a gastropub) but it is a bar serving mediocre bar food at best. We visited hungry after a day of much hiking. The beef stroganoff was undercooked and the fish and chips had no flavor other than that of old cooking oil. The food pricing is outrageous for the quality provided. Sports bar with good happy hour? Yes. A dinner option? No way.More

We have lived near this spot for many years. Eaten here many times. They always have the usual fair for breakfast, a decent number of choices for lunch and dinner as well as a daily special. Prices are terrific and the food is pretty good....Specialty dishes like the spaghetti can be a little bland, but overall a good choice for typical bar fair.More

I had just left the Sky Theater Planetarium at Mt. Hood Community College. The 6 PM show they have on the first Tuesday of the month had let out at 7 PM. I recalled that the Skyland Pub was not all that far away. Just...down the hill to the next intersection at Stark Street and South Troutdale Road. It’s located in the Skyland Plaza. At 3175 South Troutdale Road to be exact. By the time I got to the joint it was clear that the place was doing good business. It must have attracted the Happy Hour crowd while I was busy watching the stars back in the planetarium. So I naturally arrived just in time for the Non-Happy Hour. But I was sure that I would find something to smile about pretty soon. The Skyland Pub has many tables for dining on the southeast section of the building. The bar is located inside at the south east section. And the north side section has all the games. There are Six pool tables. A shuffle board. Air hockey. And there are six video poker machines in a small private enclosed section on the west side of the building between the backdoor and the rest rooms. And since this is a sports bar, there are plenty of TV screens all around the room. I walked into the building, navigated around the tables, and anchored at the bar. The bartender spotted me and asked what I’d like. I asked what he had in Dark beer. His response, “Black Butte Porter.” I smiled as that happens to be one of favourites, “Then that is what I’ll have!” While he poured the liquid into my pint glass it appeared as if it was filling with the darkness of space itself. I slid a honest Lincoln note across the bar. The pint only came to $4, so I waved off the change he offered. Then I drifted over to the Video Poker section and sat down in front of one of the electronic space bandits. I fed in a quad of crisp Washingtons. It was time to cull the herd of George clones. They were crowding my style. Not to mention my wallet. I sipped my pint and watched my credits bounce up and down. They were slowly spiralling downward to earth. When I managed to hit something good. My credits shot upward. Then slowly started to fade. So I cashed out at $10 and returned to the bar. I hadn’t eaten so I thought I would take advantage of Taco Tuesday and ordered a couple Tacos and another Black Butte Porter. I selected a table close to the Flag. When my Tacos came, I vaporized them within mere minutes. They were good, but I could have easily eaten a small armada of ‘em. It was a very tempting thought. But I managed to overcome the urge. Maybe Next time I take in another space show. Yeah, I guess you could easily say that this is the astronomy of Taco Tuesday. It’s like destiny, it’s all in the stars. And this joint must be somewhere way out in the Taco Nebula. Happy Hour is 3 PM to 7 PMMore

This is a great local pub/supports bar. The food is quality and the happy hour is one of the longest; 3 to 7. There is a good amount of activity on the weekends. Excellent for playing pool.

It has been about a year since my last visit and there were some nice upgrades to a familiar place. The food has gone up a notch, now it is higher quality. My beer battered fish abd chips just about floated off the plate. The...price had gone uo a bit, but the quality increased even more. One of my table mates had the cob salad and it was beautiful. So was the sirloin steak with all the fixings and I was assured it tasted as good as it looked. My only complaint...and it would be a benefit to most others ...is the number of televisions and the noise level inside. But it is a Pub, so that is to be expected. We just take a seat on the deck when the weather is good and leave that noise behind us. Service is the best!More

We go to Skyland at least once a week. It's always good and the prices are great! We love Taco Tuesdays! We are never disappointed. It's a great place to just grab a meal or watch a game.
