Being 3 hours off schedule because of the East-West coast time change, I was up way too early and desperately in need of good coffee that was not available in my hotel. Cue superhero music: the Starbucks in this city open EARLY (4-4:30), which is...awesome. The staff at this location were super friendly and had great personalities. I'd definitely return if ever back in Portland again!More

When I walked into Starbucks, it smelled and looked just like all the other Starbucks I have ever been to. It was comforting. The same people seemed to be standing in line that stand in line in front of me and behind me in Seattle....I got to the counter and they had the same baked goods. The SAME PEOPLE worked there, only they didn't. I ordered my latte the exact same way and when it got to me it tasted exactly the same as the lattes I've had at every other Starbucks I have ever been to, whether in Seattle, Vancouver, Pataya ... it doesn't matter. All good. No complaints.More

There are so many coffee shops here in Portland, almost one on each corner. The selection is of course dominated by Starbucks - who always give you a good brew if you can afford the bucks. There may be more exotic places in Portland to...have your coffee, but at Starbucks you seldom go wrong.More
