My friend and I decided to try Sisserou's based on the menu I saw online and the rating on Trip Advisor. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the servers are so personable. We had two servers that day, David...and Sara, because Sara was training that day. David told us the background of the owner/chef so we would know that we would be eating authentic Caribbean food, even though we were in Oklahoma. Both servers gave great suggestions to us about what we might enjoy trying for dinner. We chose to go with two appetizers and a side: jerk chicken wings, coconut shrimp, and fried plantains. All three were great, but the plantains were absolutely amazing! I have had jerk chicken in Jamaica before and the jerk wings tasted like I was in the islands. If you choose to get the coconut shrimp, know that these are HUGE and eat them while they are hot. They are fantastic! We had so much food! I was only able to eat half the wings, because they were so meaty. I will definitely go back here! I have to those plantains again!More

Our table was ready as reserved. My wife and I shared an avocado, tomato and cucumber salad with their special salad dressing, a clam back and jerk chicken wings. It was all very good. WE had plenty to eat.

Great experience and great food. We came early, 4p on a Friday and were sat immediately- super happy all spacing guidelines are being followed, made dining stress free. We started with the cod cakes at the recommendation of our server and they were amazing. I...would go back for those alone! I had the jerk tacos with plantains and cannot recommended highly enough. The tacos were full of fresh flavor and the plantains were amazing....not overly fried and then dusted with sugar. I would honestly get the entire meal again next time. My gf had the curry chicken and she liked it but liked mine better. Her Caribbean medley side was also good and different; Hot cabbage with seasoning, worth a try. For dessert we had coconut crepe brûlée and it was delicious. I also enjoyed a Caribbean mule and it was phenomenal. They make their own ginger beer and it shows. All and all an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back. Will def be on our reoccurring rotation of places to eat.More

Late afternoon we stopped here to have some lunch. I needed to fix a rock chip in my windshield, which I did so in the parking lot. We ordered the $13 Jerk sandwich and a $3 lemonade. They brought out some nice bread to eat...while we waited. They split the sandwich it in half for us as we were not very hungry. Very good burger. They also brought out some Plantain for us to try as well. Not bad but we're not Plantain fans. We do recommend this place and enjoy.More

My husband and i have been fans of Sisserous for years and love to go there for a meal and drinks and know that everything is going to be fantastic about our visit from beginning to end. Recently, we had an opportunity to use Sisserous...for catering a lunch for 25 people and it was the best and easiest catering experience I've ever encountered. Ilana worked with us to get the meals and side chosen and to keep everything within our price point. They boxed up each individual meal with its coordinating side was boxed separately. I can't imagine what time they arrived in order to prepare our food and get it boxed up and ready for pick up by 11:15 without a hitch! The meals and sides were all delicious and travelled exceeding well, even staying warm after being driven across town. The staff is knowledgeable and gracious and the service is exceptional. Definitely recommend Sisserous not only for their in restaurant and carry out meals but they went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic catered lunch and we will be using them again in the future!More

You know when you bite into something amazing and involuntarily moan? If you don’t want to do that, don’t go here. CARRYOUT/FAMILY MEAL: We were staying in a hotel across the street and stumbled on this gem when we discovered our original-choice restaurant was closed....We opted for the Family Style meal for 4***, and it was amaaaaaazing. You get two roasted/jerk chickens, a huge salad, bread, and your choice of 3 sides for $60. It was EASILY enough for two full meals, making it quite a steal as not one of our family (incl kids) stopped making weird pleasure noises the entire way through. STANDOUTS: - The passion fruit vinaigrette for the salad. DO IT. (And the salad itself was georgeous, esp for a house salad) - Fried plantain (try dipping it in the jerk sauce) - Chimichurri sauce - The rice and “peas” (no actual peas)...doesn’t look fancy but has a mild coconut flavor and is delicious - The street corn (I’m groaning again). - And really all of it was great. The chicken was excellent, as were all the sides ordered. 15/10 would eat there again. MORE INFO: - the inside is very nice. Fancy enough for a nice date but casual enough for time with friends. Feels warm and inviting. - I thought about wearing pajama pants to pick up the food because it was NYE and raining and I was literally walking across the street and #pandemic. I’m glad I did not. Not that kinda place. - carryout was prompt - *** if you, too, want to experience the joy that is the family meal for 4, you must order it 2 hours in advance. Plan ahead! WELL DONE, SISSEROU’SMore

Have you ever had a meal that was so good that when the bill came you felt like you were undercharged? That's how I felt after eating at this amazing restaurant. Everything was top notch. Recommend the Crab Back, Jerk Chicken and Bread Pudding. A+++

We try to eat at Sisserou’s two or three times a month. It is an hours drive for us. That tells you how good the food is. Our favorite dish is the off menu Jerk Burger. Incredible flavors. Love the cod appetizer too. Very friendly...people. Just a great place to eat every single time we go. Looking forward to going back next week.More

The food here is amazing, and so unique for Tulsa! Every time I visit my family in Tulsa we always have to come here! I've enjoyed every dish I've tried, but some of my favorites are the chicken curry, the curry chicken salad sandwich, the...jerk chicken wings, bread pudding, chocolate lava cake, and anything from the bar! Definitely a must visit if you're in the area!More
