This padstal makes for a lovely pitstop. The toilets are super clean and the staff friendly. We have breakfast and it did not disappoint. Prices are good and the 'huis kombuis' shop has a wide selection of jams/pickles/sweets/treats to choose from. Definitely a must for a stop!

You can stock up on various artisinal goodies at the shop, such as ginger beer, jams, and preserves. Recharge your batteries for the journey with a bite to eat and some coffee. The menu offers various pies, jaffels, and pancakes, amongst others. The Karoo Lamb Curry was delicious and is served with a fresh salad. Not quite the Karoo welcome one expects, though. Staff and front of shop hostess come across as aloof, but service is fast and efficient, which is most important when traveling.

This is our usual pitstop along this route, and we were left disappointed this time around. The service wasn't great. I'm not sure if the peak season had just worn them down, but I hope for some improvement next time. Food was also average this time. And they had no ice on a day when it was very hot. Drinks werent very cold. Again, maybe just the busy peak season had worn them thin!

The owner lady was rude and unkind. My wife and I felt very unwelcome. There are much nicer and friendlier places in town. We will never support this place again.

Enjoyed a great tasty breakfast. Lots of other eateries to browse in the souvenir shop. Burning wood in the fireplace. Very cozy... :-)

A well-stocked padstal / farm stall with authentic Karoo stock. We love the focus on local products. Friendly service, safe parking and clean toilets. Several people were enjoying a meal here whilst we shopped. Ideal for authentic Karoo produce.

Only one toilet available, busy season, unserviced, floor completely flooded and extremely dangerous. My mother 83yrs old slipped and hurt herself badly, as the toiletseat was also loose and became unstable.

A surprisingly unfriendly hostess and unwelcome atmosphere. We won’t be back but rather push through to the next stop

We were on our way and stopped for something to eat and a leg stretch. The food and atmosphere was fantastic as well. Worthwhile skipping past Graaff-Reinet

A perfect halfway stop between Gariepdam and George - following the recommendation of a varsity friend. Interesting menu with many homemade options, friendly and efficient service.

We took my elderly mom out for a milkshake, great service, the staff were attentive and make sure she was comfortable. They also sell delicious jams, pickles and garlic pickles as well as other home made goodies.
