Lovely place. Very efficient and friendly service. Quality wine by the glass and the food was immaculate. As a cynical old git I’m usually able to find something to whinge about. Not here.

Stayed as a party of 8 lads. excellent staff, good food. Couldnt believe how cheap the weekend was when we came to pay the final bill. Not as much of a drinking pub as the other two in the village but we were looked after...really well.More

Top bar/hotel the bar was clean tidy and very presentable with quick friendly attentive staff. Since covid the seating areas have been converted into booths which I think adds to the personal experience when with friends. Outside there is plenty of parking and access is...OK for wheelchair users. The hotel rooms were decorated lovely, modern, stylish and thoughtful. The breakfast was lovely too with nice touches like home made baked beans, and quality produce. Coming from a farming community we can spot a real free range egg! Very good all round, we will be booking again next year and we hope to have an evening meal. The owners were very hospitable and welcoming.More

I had dinner, bed & breakfast at the pub with 2 friends last weekend. On arrival, we received a friendly warm welcome & were shown to our rooms. A table had been booked for dinner & we were able to sit at this table to...enjoy our first pre dinner drink. My room was on the first floor & although small, was attractively furnished & immaculate. The bathroom was nicely fitted with an over bath shower with fluffy white towels & a variety of toiletries. Although the bed was soft it was very comfortable & I was pleasantly surprised as to how quiet my room was during the night. Dinner was excellent & most enjoyable & although the pub was very busy, service was good. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice & included home made baked beans, home made bread & delicious jam & marmalade. Without exception, the staff were very friendly & efficient.More

Visited on a busy weekend and enjoyed the food and local beer. A couple of things let them down: 1. cream fabric covered chair at our table was badly stained and rather off putting 2. Had looked at the menus on the pubs Facebook page...and the price of the item I chose was £3 more when we visited on the same day. Need to update the page when you increase the prices!More

Recently dined at this excellent gastropub, so good we visited twice on our recent break, although we were lucky on both occasions to be seated without a reservation, would advise booking as it is very busy, and rightly so. On our first visit hubby had...the steak and ale pudding which he said was scrummy and I had the chicken which was in a lovely mushroom sauce, both came with triple cooked chips which were delicious. Hubby had the same on our 2nd visit, but I chose off the very extensive Specials Board which had halibut amongst other delights. It too same in a very tasty sauce (chef obviously knows his sauces !!!!) and was very well cooked. Looking forward to our Christmas at this delightful eatery.More

We have dined here a couple of times over the last few weeks, they squeezed us in last minute last night and we were so grateful! The atmosphere is very relaxed, not intrusive, not rushed, the staff are always so lovely, Nathan really looked after...us last time, as did all the young guys & gals, especially the young blonde lady (sorry I never got your name) - a true testament to your team and employers. The food is always consistently good, a great menu with an ever changing specials board. They have a decent wine list, the sancerre was exceptional. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back, even if just for the chocolate dessert - it's out of this world!More

Booked for Sunday lunch and no roast as sold out?! Absolutely gutted. Every table around us was served the roast. We booked an afternoon lunch time slot too? Need to manage customers expectation, we had a very disappointed table. Service and food we had instead...was good but still very disappointed that there were no roast so early in the day…More
