Visited with my partner on a Friday evening, we had pre booked online. Atmosphere was lovely and the owner was very welcoming and upbeat. Staff were also very nice and attentive. My starter, scallops were amazing, my main pheasant was also nice, but did seem...a little well done for my taste and there wasn't much sauce. My partner thought the same, as he ate the same. Dessert was great, pavlova. It did get uncomfortably hot in the restaurant I had to go outside at one point to cool down. Overall a nice place, maybe not for everyone's taste and is on the expensive side. I would advise booking.More

Amazing little restaurant tucked away at the head of the Main Street. Lovely cozy atmosphere, nice decor, really comfortable feel. All along with attentive customer service and delicious food. Really fine dining at really reasonable prices. We returned a second night for pre dinner cocktails...as they have a good selection, not just the Pawn Star Martini but quality classics. Having been spotted approaching in the street we were met, BY NAME at the door and shown to our table. That’s attention to detail. For the record the Vespa Martini was one of the best I have had, and I have had a few. Can’t recommend highly enough. If you are in IoW and looking for dinner Mojacs really should be your first choice. Just go!More

Atmosphere was pleasant, music just right, service was friendly, menu looked reasonable, but the food was mediocre. The beetroot salad was poor: the cheese had been kept in the fridge too long and the portion was miniscule. The 'deconstructed' vegetable tart was bland and too...small to constitute a meal (I'm not greedy, by the way, I weigh less than 8 stone). Perhaps we just had a bad night but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Very pricey for what we had.More

chanced on this little gem on our last night on the island and what a perfect way to end a break. Received a warm welcome and the food was totally amazing chef certainly knows how to combine layers of flavours. And pleasantly not over priced...Thank you for rounding off our holiday perfectly only wish we had found you earlier as we would have been regularsMore

An exceptional restaurant. Very friendly and competent service with staff wearing masks and asking you to sanitise hands on entering. Menu has some interesting dishes and quality of food plus presentation very much above average. Good wine list as well. We can understand why it...gets such good reviewsMore

Without a doubt the best meal we had during our week in IoW. Friendly, attentive service. A really diverse menu, not the cheapest but so refreshing to find something other than the standard burger etc menu! The food was delicious.

The first thing I would say is that you need to book. We saw a number of people turned away despite there being empty tables (clearly the owners choose how many they will serve ...this is of course totally their perogative. We sat downstairs on...a table for 4. In total there we around 20 covers downstairs but there also appeared to be seating upstairs (although we saw only one couple "go up". There is a nice feel in the restaurant albeit quite "adult". I do not feel it is a place children which is backed up by the menu (more of that later). There is a full bar including too many gins to mention along with a decent wine list. The menu is very descriptive although if you are a fussy eater it could be off putting. I had a wonderful starter (advacado, bacon, lettice, anchovies and croutons in a sauce) which was delicious. The other starters were reasonable well recieved albeit the Mackrell was a huge portion. The main dishes were recieved with mixed results. The steak excellently cooked and the hake very tasty. However the deconstructed vegetable tart was very disappointing. Despite hardly any being eaten the waitress didn't ask if there was any problem. We live and learn. All dishes have various "funky" potatoes which I love but aren't to everyone's taste. Our bill (excluding tip) came to the same amount of steps at The Needles (188). See attached. On another day it might have felt good value but last night given the experience of half the party it was expensive. (Bill attached). To be fair drinks added a large amount. For the right eaters this is a great place is just didn't completely work for us. Make you own mind up don't be put off by me.More
