Friday lunchtime in November, but a great welcome. Bright, warm and welcoming. Dogs and children welcome and not too busy to give a friendly and efficient service. We opted for pizzas and they were gorgeous! A good selection and a generous size.

We walked through Cowes to see what was on offer & after some thought we went back to The Coast as we had a previous good meal there as a family. We had not booked but the front of house staff said all they could...offer was the bar, we were not sure, but it actually made it a nice night, something different. Staff were very accomodating. When looking through the menu, we found lots of choice so we decided to have nibbles, starters & mains! Whilst we waited we had a couple of cracking cocktails, namely The Dark Stormy along with The Coast Bellini, both being very nice & well made. The food from start to finish was well presented, well made & I have to say, i'm a big eater & we ended up taking our lovely pizzas away to have later. My only, very slight gripe was that I ordered some anchovies on breads but was brought another anchovy meal from the nibbles menu. This could be blamed on my accent!! However the anchovy nibble I was given was still very nice. I did inform staff of this & was offered what I had originally asked for but I really wanted staff just to know for future, not a complaint. Additionally, a really nice staff member gave us some bread to mop up the delicious sauce on my wife's prawn & chilli starter! I think The Coast has a good balance here; You can eat in a romantic setting as a couple, but you can also bring your family for a good meal which I noticed this night I was in. Lots of staff in the restaurant to help, all being very friendly & helpful & I cannot leave this review without saying how hard the bar tender making the cocktails & drinks worked on ghe night, he didn't stop & actually watching him making drinks was, in a way, a bit of a USP(?) Really good night, cosy, came away hapoy & we will definately be coming back as a couple or a family. Thankyou. Per Ardua 96More

Great vibe in this busy restaurant. Excellent menu choices and tip top service. Our only gripe comes from my husband. He very often has a cheese board for dessert and he did comment that this was the smallest cheeseboard he’d even seen. Three very small...portions of cheese. Excellent overall though.More

A warm, cosy experience sat by the wood burner enjoying a delicious mulled wine. The wood fired pizza was the best I’ve had in a long time. Attentive staff and great atmosphere. Will be back when visiting again! 🌟

We had two lovely previous meals with nice staff however some of the staff seem control freaks that think they can push you in some corner and miss the point that they are just paid staff who ought to make guest feel welcome. The owner...of this restaurant should be aware that friendly staff are the key to a successful business.More

Lovely restaurant in Cowes with a great vibe. The staff were attentive and friendly but we waited 25 minutes for our aperitifs and when we enquired were told they’d run out of Prosecco and had sent someone out to get some. The food however was...superb!More

Happy accident we found Coast. Friendly efficient staff ad the Chowder was the best I have ever had in UK. My husband had a pizza which was also nice; really thin and tasty. Nice clean loos too!

Firstly food was good, however that’s where it ended The service was poor there was only two of us and yet other parties who arrived after us were served, fed and left prior to us The waitress then proceeded to drop our empty plates over...both of us covering my wife in grease on her brand new shirt and jeans and baked beans over my jeans and boots All that was offered was sorry, this doesn’t replace or dry clean clothes covered in grease Would have loved to look around Cowes however the service was such that we had to return to our car before the parking ticket expired Poor level of service and the manager was unconcerned as to the events that had taken placeMore

As we waited for our table our taste buds were stimulated just watching the plates of food being served, and we were not disappointed. A menu full of delicious options, each member of our family was spoilt for choice and we weren’t disappointed. Pasta, pizza,...pie and moules- each plate was savoured and devoured. Even though they were busy the service was spot on. The biggest compliment is my husband wants to make sure we come back before we leave the island - that is high praise indeed!More
