We had a delicious meal here. All of it was great - the ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, jambalaya, mac n cheese and mashed sweet potato. Great concept, fab food, quirky venue, something different to try. We enjoyed the bantz with the owner. Would highly recommend,...we will definitely be back next time we are on the island.More

Loved the idea of a menu free restaurant, and the food didn't disappoint as was all superb. Great customer service and we'll be back as soon as we can. Wish we lived on the Isle of Wight so could visit over and over again. Will...definitely return in the future.More

I say this with the most sincerity; this was the best meal that we have ever had, period. Booking was simple, as there was five of us, I had to pay a deposit; fair enough. (Why anyone would not show up is beyond us!) We...arrived 20mins late due to the ferry so called ahead, they were very understanding and accommodating. Upon arrival we were sat down and told that there was no menu, it was a set dish which changes Approx every week. We were offered a range of drinks. About 15mins later a jambalaya dish arrives with an assortment of food. Our food was: southern fried chicken, a rice dish, ribs, refried beans and gumbo. OH MY WORD, THIS WAS AMAZING. I cannot sell this enough, it was delicious. We have never had such a meal which was beautifully spiced, balanced and perfectly portioned control. Seriously you need to try this food. The bill was completely reasonable and the staff was superb who completely understood the dynamics and mood of the restaurant. Minus the ferry, this was a perfect night. We will for sure come back again.More

This small former butcher's premises in Cowes High Street is a highly original restaurant serving creole and cajun food. No menu, the extrovert host just seats you at a long table and serves you whatever the kitchen has produced that day. The barbecued ribs we...received were, possibly, the best I've ever eaten. We will definitely be back.More

Fun and quirky with amazing food, drink and an entertaining host. Loved meeting the neighbouring diners with the extended tables - suspect this will become a regular haunt.

Fantastic. No need for an extensive menu when you have chefs that just serve up simple, but full of flavour food. Loved it. Thank you.

During our regular visits to the island, me and my wife are often looking for great places to eat which we have not tried before. We came across "Call It What You Want" while searching and was intrigued to try it. We eventually managed to...get a table after a couple of attempts and we are glad we did. The food was fantastic, and the banter with Mark the host made for a great atmosphere. We loved the no-nonsense concept, and even the limited choice of wines and beers did not detract at all from the experience as they all went well with the food. We will definitely be back.More

We ate here on our last night in Cowes. They say save the best till last and we did. Having been in Cowes for 6 nights this was the one and only time the family all ate the same a left totally satisfied. Why it...shouldn't work...I dispise paper plates (they just worked here), I am a wine snob and like to pick my wine (choice red, white or rose...I drank over a bottle of red so it couldn't have been bad). You need to book otherwise you won't get in (isn't that the case with all good restaurants?) Just go with the flow and you will have a ball. Why it does work...food was delicious, all 4 of us ate till our bellies bust. The "owner/host" is down to earth and tells it like it is (he is part of the reason you enjoy the night). Having a tequila shot before your meal is the way forward. Everyone in the place including other guests have a smile on their face. The even solved my eldest indigestion problem! At least 2 bottles of wine, tequila shots, and four full bellies for about £140 a bargain. If you go to only 1 restaurant in Cowes this is the one.More

I suggest checking with the owner. We don’t have a dog and I didn’t see any in the restaurant.
