Superb taster lunch for our anniversary, supplemented by three amuse bouche and some petit fours. The cheese tray is an experience in itself. Outstanding service from every member of staff, and a lovely atmosphere with the snow coming down outside. We have already booked our...return!More

The staff and experience were lovely, but the food was average. Presentation was amazing, but a number of the courses lacked anything special. For the price L'Enclume charges, and the 2 Michelin stars, we expected a lot more and were left disappointed by the food.

With every visit I’m blown away by the excellent service and well presented delicious flavours, in a great relaxed atmosphere. Really looking forward to the next visit. Our favourite Michelin Starred UK restaurant.

We treated ourselves to a taster lunch at L'Enclume and we're so pleased we did. The service was impeccable, we felt very pampered and valued as customers. The dishes were absolutely delightful, each having a range of tastes that complemented each other beautifully, served with...the provenance behind how they were sourced and the technique used to draw out the tastes. This wasn't just a meal. It was a whole experience. We can definitely recommend the additional cheese board too. It was beautiful. The individual touches at each point punctuated the experience, ending in a gift to take away that provides a living, lasting memory. Thank you to the whole team. You have no idea how much we needed this - we've had quite a year.More

We had the most wonderful time at L'Enclume, being thoroughly spoilt by attentive, interested and informed staff serving delicious food, perfectly cooked. It was art on a plate with a range of sublime textures and tastes.

Booked in for the 6 person dining experience at £175 per person 21/11/21 at 7pm. Ben ( chef ) was fantastic in explaining each taster & for sure was well worth the cost….. Opted for the “ SELECT “ wine pairing at £250 EACH person...! BEWARE !!!!!! Jordan who delicately & professionally served & explained each wine was confusing in his speech of each but more upsettingly the measures of 75m & 100m were certainly well under on each pour….. at one point I questioned the measure in a mildly amusing manner to which he quipped “ Errr no sir, I believe that is correct “ 🤦🏻‍♂️ At 3/4 through the evening it simply spoilt the occasion….. Simon, have a word ! Weights & measures would have a field day…. More importantly we’ll now share our experience with others which at best will at least make them aware ! There are far better places to experience at half the £1100 price we paid !More

Amazing!!! First time at L’Enclume and definitely not the last. From start to finish the whole experience was incredible. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive, nothing is to much. The food is just mind blowing, the different flavours and textures are wonderful and a...delightful experience. We had the 8 course lunch menu and everything was perfect. I’m gluten free, not a problem at all, I was still was able to have the full tasting menu and didn’t feel one bit left out like sometimes I can feel at other restaurants with my dietary restrictions. Great relaxed environment. We can’t wait to go back. Absolutely fantastic day.More

Feeling rather sad tonight on my 50th Birthday because the original plan was lunch at L’enclume booked back in August, which they then cancelled a month ago, stating they had decided not to be open for lunch on Tuesdays. We tried to book a tasting...menu elsewhere, but nothing available with so short notice, so we were put on the waiting list for this evening at L’Enclume and I phoned them on Saturday to check we were still on the waiting list. We left the Lake District around 2.30pm since we had not heard from L’enclume, they left a message on the mobile around 5pm to say we could get a table tonight, but at that point we were almost home (Crewe) so going back to the Lake district wasn’t really an option (we had seen the northbound queues on M6 so would never had made it in time). Don’t think I will ever get to a 2 star Michelin restaurant, my 50th Birthday was really the only excuse to spend that much money on a mealMore

We had a fantastic evening between the 3 of us and it was a friends first time at LenClume and he really enjoyed the experience. The service was fantastic and right through to the cheese course every course was fantastic and full of flavour. I...have rated this visit as 4 because although we really enjoyed the evening a big factor for me is always value for money and having recently visited Henrock and been to Rogan & Co on numerous occasions I think it was lacking a bit of wow factor to justify the price. We think Rogan & Co is excellent and actually prefer it over LenClume and having recently went for Sunday Lunch at Henrock thought the meal was fantastic and extremely good value for money. I have no doubt we will be back to one of the Rogan restaurants soon but I think there are better options than LenClume.More
