After taking in the enormous Teotihuacan Pyramid of the Sun and surroundings, be submerged in a cool, natural, open air underground cave to eat AUTHENTIC, beautifully prepared Mexican dishes! Menus come in Spanush and English. Staff was very friendly and one is encouraged to light...More

We had lunch at this place after the pyramids excursion. The restaurant is literally in a cage, the food was nice, service a bit slow but i think this was due to the fact that they were busy. We had to wait for about 15...More

Our pyramids tour guide told us about this restaurant located in a cave. We were skeptical that it was really in a cave and that the food would be worth the visit. Surprisingly, the restaurant had good food. For our party of five, we ordered...More

The food we got was very unique and tasty. Their Mutton Soup is delicious. The main entrees we got were very good as well. The horchata was average, get a beer or something they don't make in house. The location was unbeatable, both close to...More

Gorgeous Mexican food restaurant inside a cave. La Gruta is simply magical, beautiful setting and delicious authentic food. Prices are quite reasonable and the service was fantastic. Definitely coming back.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Pyramids and the food and entertainment at La Gruta was exceptional. Well worth the trip. However, if you are taking a tour bus, check to make sure La Gruta is included. Tour bus companies tend to choose their own restaurants. If possible,...More

I had lunch here with 2 colleagues after climbing the pyramids nearby. Lunch was fine, but the real reason to visit this restaurant is because of the location. The restaurant is located inside a large cave. Clean, safe and comfortable setting. Highly recommended.

Thanks to my tour guide, Noe, from Westin Hotel. This place is beautiful. Recommend to reserve is always busy, I had to wait for 20 minutes for a table. First time trying “chapulines” 👍. They have tostadas con guacamole and lots of chapulines. Then tried...More

Phantastic Restaurant in a cave with delicious Mexican food tradition. Has to be reserved on weekends as it is highly frequented, weekdays are ok without reservations. Waiter will light up candle as a tradition for the deaths and reincarnation.

Yes you can, but I’d say that after lunch you’ll find it difficult to walk under the sun. Change your reservation for an hour later and explore the site with no hurry. After 1pm it gets really hot. I’m sure the restaurant... More
