This is a popular restaurant so come early or come late or you're having a long wait on a weekend night. It's dark wood, leather booth kind of place. Love their beer.
The food and service are both good. Eaten here many times.

One the rare 5 stars I give, but everything here was excellent on this Friday night. Made a reservation the week before we showed up; the restaurant called during the week to confirm & sent a 30 minute reminder text. 4 of us sat right down with no wait at the door. Place was packed due to a show at nearby Convention Center that we were heading to at 9:30. Although every table was full, our waiter made time for conversation & menu recommendations without any useless banter; this guy Nathan was truly genuine.Drinks came right out & had alcohol you could taste; appetizers right on cue & entres served a few minutes after appetizer plates cleared off. No waiting for 2nd round of drinks, we we able to take our time eating without feeling rushed to turn the table. Coffee came out without the usual long wait at most places. Food & drinks were excellent all around; several choices of house brewed beer available & dinner menu is very diverse. Something here for almost everyone; clean, lighting not too dark or bright, enough space to eat without feeling cramped or crowded.

Went for lunch on MLK day, drove over an hour from Norwalk, CT, and it was so worth it! We like breweries, and wanted to try this one, as it has a fantastic looking food menu as well as plenty of interesting beer styles. My favorite was the rip hops Pilsner, it had great flavor and subtle notes of black currant and lemongrass, really outstanding quality!
My wife enjoyed the slow daze Vienna lager, which I also tried and liked. Our server, Stephen, at the bar was very welcoming and personable, made us feel right at home, and was attentive and gave us some special items we had asked for, like their excellent house made hot sauces, a piece of cheese on my wife’s crispy chicken sando, and souvenir stickers to take home.
Our meals were delicious, we shared the ale and cheese soup, which I had requested to be served very hot, and it came out steaming and fantastic, with a large, fresh from the oven pretzel stick, just wonderful on a cold day ! My beer and cheddar jalapeño sausage was great, homemade and very special. By far the best spaetzle I have ever had, even in Europe. Plenty of braised cabbage too, and house made mustard. I had saved a bit of soup, and we dipped fries, sausage, everything in that little leftover bit. So tasty!
We saw a few other meals going out of the busy kitchen, it all looked great, I will be back!
The restaurant has a nice look, friendly staff with plenty of hustle when lots of customers!
Jeremy and Stephen, and the whole staff were sharp, even the expediter was nice, offfered us a second spoon for soup sharing, and said we can always order another pretzel if we wanted. Very accommodating!
We had hoped for a fun day out, with great food and beer, and we were very impressed and happy with the Millhouse!

On the plus side, the food was good and the menu had lots of great choices for brunch. Service was a problem, it took forever to get anything, even a cup of coffee. We had two kids at the table so faster service should have been on the agenda. Our server was nice but forgetful, she had to be reminded of several things we ordered that she simply forgot. Very busy brunch, more waitstaff or better trained would be helpful. Also canned music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk.

Wonderful food, great service. Fried pickles and the Pig and Fig Pizza were outstanding. Oh, and the flight of beer was excellent. Kids pizza was ginormous..comes with soda and ice cream. You can easily share plates here....
Although we ate Iunch on a Monday and it didn't seem too busy, I did use the reservation option on the restaurant's website, and that was easy.

After doing walkover the Hudson we were looking for someplace with outdoor dinning to eat. We drove around quit a lot until we spotted the tent outside the Mill House. Tables were well distanced. There was sanitizer and I noticed that the menus were wiped off after each use. There were some people eating indoors and they seemed well spaced from each other. Food was good as was the service.

After we walked on the Walkway over the Hudson we enjoyed a fantastic lunch here on a Wednesday just after noon.
We ordered a flight including Cucumber, RIP Hops, Grocery Getter, ECU Mango and Oktoberfest. We ended up ordering Cucumber and Oktoberfest for our beers. We also bought Oktoberfest and Mill House Light to bring home. The light was for our neighbor, and our server, Brad was kind enough to let us try it before buying it for her!
Our food was amazing! I had the Moe's Lobstah Roll...pictures attached. It tasted as good as it looked. Hubby had Crabby Patty. The texture was different, but he liked the flavor.
We ate outside under the tent. Didn't see much inside...but it looked cute!
Highly recommend!!

Amazing lunch! Stopped here for a late lunch after touring nearby Marist College w my teenaged son. I had the cheesesteak, he had the pulled pork sandwich. He is a pulled pork affectionado and declared this sandwich among his top 5 ever lol. The shoestring fries were addictive and the house make lemonade was really above average. He had it straight up, I had it in an Arnold Palmer. We got milkshakes to go, he the salted caramel Oreo cookie, I the Maple cream. They were scrumptious. Our server Simone was so friendly and knowledgeable that even my son commented on how great the service was!! Highly recommend...and if he attends Marist we will be back FOR SURE!!

The restaurant was very busy on Saturday night, but we were placed on a waiting list and called when a table became available. We were able to eat on the second floor terrace. Food and the beer were excellent and the service was very friendly. A good address in Poughkeepsie

First time here while staying in town for business. I was expecting the usual brewery type food and beer/drinks but I was pleasantly surprised. The menu was not average, great options for foodies and cool, tasty specialty cocktail menu. Our service was great, the atmosphere was laid back and cozy and the beer cheese soup with fresh Bavarian pretzel was perfect on a super cold night.

The building itself has very nice architecture, and a great ambiance. The beer selection is excellent, as you might expect from a local brewery. Food wise, the sandwiches are very good, I was a big fan of the Chicken Sando. Mussels were very disappointing however, and there was even a little piece of gravel or grit in one of them. The menu was a tiny but on the pricy side but not terribly so.
Service was excellent and fast although we were seated quite close to the kitchen which was very loud, not necessarily terrible but a little distracting.

My wife and I met her sister at Mill House for brunch. Her sister frequents Mill House and gave high marks for the brunch. We arrived shortly after they opened and were able to get seated right away. The restaurant got crowded very fast so I suggest getting there early. The waiter was great and the brunch menu was very robust. We ordered Sangria, lobster crepes', and bacon candied pancakes. My sister-in-law ordered a club sandwich and pancakes. The food was good and I recommend giving this place a try. We enjoyed the food so much we took a pizza home with us.

Just ordered from the Sunday brunch menu. The Kale salad was inedible. The kale was unwashed and had visible dirt. Secondly, very mature kale is difficult to eat raw unless the leaves are massaged. I would suggest WASHED baby kale instead. The Pad Thai dressing was unflavorful. The pastrami sandwich was also lacking...very little meat, dry, and forgettable. This meal was definitely not worth the price. We will skip this establishment on our next trip to Poukeepsie.

We had a family meet-up for Saturday lunch at this restaurant with an offsite brewery and were so happy we chose it. It was our first visit there. We relied on other TA’s glowing reviews and were not disappointed.
The cozy setting is a historic 1836 building featuring exposed brick walls, bluestone, and booth and table seating downstairs. There’s three floors, with the second floor hosting an outside dining area. Function rooms are available on the second and third floors.
The reservation system online wanted to charge a $10 per person hold fee, so I waited until they were open to call and the friendly host made the reservation with no fee mentioned. This is the way to go.
On arrival we were greeted and seated promptly in a nice quiet booth towards the back. Sean, our server, came to take drink orders and helped us with info about the wide variety of beers and drinks. The featured lunch was a halibut steak with shaved Brussels sprouts and a chili pepper infused oil. It sounded so good that three of us ordered it and one got the personal pizza.
Sean saw to it that the pacing was leisurely and we never felt rushed. We enjoyed our drinks and caught us with each other. When the food arrived, the presentations were beautiful. The thick halibut was cooked to perfection and a most delicious preparation with the sprouts and a light sauce. The three of us were unanimous in singing its praises. The pizza lover pronounced his dish wonderful. Sean was attentive and had helpful suggestions throughout the meal.
We will come back again someday. Thanks Sean and Mill House for a fantastic meal!

The best part of the lunch we had was the beer cheddar soup! From there the place went downhill. The service was slow as can be. Our main entrees came out cold and were horrible. We actually sent one of the dishes back to the kitchen it was gross. For the price of $24 we had to. The prices are a bit high. We only chose this particular place because of the beer. However, we only had one because the waiter was not attentive and never checked to see if we needed anything else.
