As seasoned travelers, this diner is one of our all time favorite "must stop" places in the northeast. Anytime we are traveling on route 84 in that area we always stop to enjoy the food. We can very easily bestow accolades on this diner for its quality food, fair prices, good service, portion sizes and friendly clean atmosphere. The menu is huge and diverse with something for every taste.
Do not hesitate to try this diner. - You will not be disappointed!👍😃

Awesome place to stop for lunch on our road trip. My husband and I enjoyed the Greek salad and Philly cheese steak. The generous portion was enough to share and still take some with us for later. The lunch special Greek salad came with a bowl of New England clam chowder that tasted super fresh and creamy plus a pudding for dessert. The philly was maybe the best we have ever eaten with tender steak and perfectly caramelized onions and peppers and the crispy wedge potatoes and coleslaw complement the sandwich. The staff was very friendly and Steve, one of the owners, came by to make sure we were satisfied with our meal and after finding out we were from Texas and have a long trip ahead he brought us dessert to go. He said they are made fresh in house. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean and the staff wore masks so we felt very safe dining in. I would absolutely plan future trips so that I could dine here again. I highly recommend.

Meet friends here for brunch. We all took different directions on our orders, and the variety allowed us to do that. We enjoyed the outdoor dining in COVID-19 times, and were able to stay to chat without an issue when we finished our meal. Attentive and friendly staff.

We stopped here while out shopping in the area. There are so many dinner choices it is virtually impossible to come here and not find something to your liking. I had a soup and salad dinner, and my wife soup and sandwich. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Our dinners were out quick and exactly what was ordered. The size of the servings is large, so you will not leave hungry. Quality and taste of everything was very good. This was not our first visit here, and it will not be our last.
We recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food and service!
Beef barley soup was enjoyed by my daughter & husband. Can’t go wrong with the burger & fries my son ordered. My daughter’s Alexis French Toast Deluxe came with three slices, two eggs & bacon, and was very good. My husband ordered a Turkey club which came with slaw & fries, and my Cobb salad with grilled chicken was great & huge!

Alexis provides excellent diner experience, with a classic extensive diner menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We stopped here for a late lunch / early dinner. As always, service was courteous, with the most difficult part of the visit choosing what to get off the long, long menu. Our soup and sandwiches were very good and service was quick. The restaurant is spacious and there is room for single visitors, couples all the way to large families or groups. Based on my current and past visits, I expect every patron will leave pleased, and full. We strongly recommend this restaurant.

Waitress said the spinach pie was their best seller so I ordered it. When it arrived it was a soggy mess. I didn’t eat it and still paid full price after the waitress asked me about and said put that in this bowl and she took it to the back. Nothing was done about the poor quality of food that was served. Hubby ordered to wings. Even though they were good we will never go back again

The worst breakfast ever served in a restaurant! It is hard to screw up eggs, bacon, grilled potatoes and toast, but they managed to burn everything and the serve it to us. Never going back there. My wife and I have been going out for breakfast together for over 50 years and we both declared that breakfast the worst we have ever had. The server was fine; but the food sucked.

We needed lunch while traveling home. This diner was a great discovery and the weekday lunch specials are great - soup, entree and dessert at a good price. Staff was promt and efficient. Greek dishes were very good - the Gyro wrap was a platter. We also had the lunch specials for Mousaka and Pastitcio.

I am very disgusted. I was sitting at a booth and it smelled strongly of dead aninal. I then smelled the edge of it and it was extremely bad. They also did not clean the table it was sticky and the seats and floor were covered in food. They need to fix this mouse problem and clean better. Aside from that the staff are amazing and very sweet.

We stopped here on the way to Storm King on a recent Monday morning.
The service was memorable. We were warmly greeted, immediately seated and our gentleman server was very polite, personable and returned to the table several times to fill our coffee.
Beyond that, I can't say that the food here was anything but average. First, I was shocked that the menu was extremely limited for breakfast. Any diner would offer a full menu at any time of the day. Here, it was a single double-sided menu with mostly breakfast items.
I had a 3-egg omelet which was pretty good. We had fruit salad as well. The coffee wasn't anything spectacular.
I will say that the black and white cookie I purchased from the display case was pretty darn good.
In all, not a bad place to go to. Very friendly service but very limited menu, at least, for anyone wanting anything besides breakfast.

You’d better be hungry when you go here. The portions are huge! Or “cups” of soup arrives in bowls that most places use for the larger servings. My Rueben filled most of the large platter it was on and the “small” Greek Salad filled a 12” salad plate. The only negative was the coffee, which may have been a specialty blend; not what we’re used to. And don’t forget the desserts!! Very spacious as well.

A mediocre breakfast, limp waffle but good strawberries, eggs perfect but corned beef hash undercooked. Very good and prompt service that did address the undercooked hash. All in all, lunch brrr is way better.

We stopped here for dinner and a couple days later with family for breakfast. All I can say is that the Alexis Dinner is a 1st Class operation. From the owners greeting you upon arrival, to the staff escorting to your seats, thru the entire meal things are well done. Their menu is very extensive and we especially like the home-made soups. Any dinner we have had, sandwiches, wraps or full meal have been excellent. For our breakfast visit everything was exceptional. Don’t take the attitude this is “just a diner”, it is truly a wonderful restaurant with excellent food. Come by and enjoy all the choices.

their Gyro platter is absolutely delicious, amazing, and plentiful! The fries are so crunchy, the Gyro is delicious, and the generous Greek salad portion with abundant feta and grape olives, is absolutely worth coming again and again. I get it every time! Service is pleasant and quick.
