We visited the restaurant for the first time two weeks ago and were impressed by our waitress; she was very curious, informative, pleasant, and very efficient. Her table service was a breath of fresh air considering what we have experienced for the past 2 years. Often the wait staff at other local restaurants were slow, uninformed of their menu, and not pleasant. We went back this week and had the exact same level of service from a waiter. My hat is off to the management and staff!

We visit this LongHorn frequently when in the area. We have been here many times. As a chain, we believe LongHorn has the best steaks, much better than Outback and other competitors. At this location, 90% of the time we get a great meal, although we have been disappointed a couple times. This last visit we took the grandchildren (4 & 7) with us to dinner. Thankfully, it was a great visit and the service and food was great. Our server, Katarzyna, was attentive, friendly and helpful. The kids Mac&Cheese and kids burger satisfied the sometimes picky eaters. Our Ribeye and Swiss Burger were done perfect. In short another great LongHorn dinner, and continued satisfaction with this location.

We stopped on 11/13/21 while on a personal trip to Cornwall, NY. We Stayed at the nearby HOJO Motel, and Longhorn was very convenient to our motel. I had the New York Strip, it was one of the best steaks I've ever eaten! It was tender, juicy, and extremely flavorful. A far cry from our local Longhorn, My only disappointment was that the loaded baked potato was barely more than warm. The service was good.

We have been coming here for years and always had a fabulous meal! Thus, it was extremely disappointing and a down right shock that our latest dining experience was so horrid. None of our three meals were even close to being worthy of the price we paid for them. I ordered a Flo's Filet, medium well. I do not know what I was served. I was handed a stark white plate with fries on one side and this small round half burnt piece of meat on the other. Nothing else, no gravy, sauce, garnish, just this dried out piece of meat and fries. My son ordered the NY Strip, medium rare and mash potatoes. He got that same stark white plate which highlighted the strip of meat and scoop of potato. Again, no garnish, no sauce, just two unappetizing items on a plate. I empathize the plate, because that is all you could see, these plates basically framing two "you expect me to eat that" items on them. No presentation at all, as was done in the past. My husband faired a tad better ordering the ribs and baked potato, because at least his looked somewhat appetizing to eat, due to some coloring of the ribs.
Hungry, my son and I forged ahead with our meals. To our dismay, our steaks were so rubbery we could have bounced them, and both were drier than a desert. My son sent his back, and was given a new piece of dried out meat. The meat arrived to him sitting like an island in the middle of the ocean, in this case the huge, white plate. He was still out of luck, in that the potatoes from his original meal were now completely cold & being given new ones with the steak, did not happen. His new steak was only slightly better than the original he was served. In case you are wondering, the ribs were acceptable, but no where near the wow factor that they once were.
We were in such shock we paid our bill and actually wondered if the restaurant was having trouble finding people who knew how to prepare, cook & serve appetizing meals due to the worker shortage. We also pondered if maybe the chain was unable to get quality beef with the current supply issues. In retrospect, we should have asked for the manager, but again in past visits the manager always came around and asked people how things were and showed up at your table, especially if anyone sent an item back. Sadly, we figured the person already knew, what we had just discovered.
Anyway, it will be a super long time before we return and spend that kind of hard earned money on what turned out to be a very unappetizing meal.
Avoid.

LongHorn has become our favorite chain restaurant when considering visits along the entire east coast. When visiting the Hudson Valley, the Newburgh LongHorn is one of our regular visits and it has alway been a 5-star rating. We stopped here for lunch in early May. Admittedly some extra patience is needed with the Covid situation, but our visit proved to be a real disappointment. Our server, Jessica didn’t seem to enjoy working here, as she gave more attention to talking to what seemed to be friends visiting the restaurant rather than giving attention to her tables, including us. Besides the poor service, the food was substandard in comparison to all LongHorns as well as this one which we are very familiar with.
I hope this is a one-time disappointment and that our next visit will be good as per usual. Management should make sure this is the case. I would hate to see this location go the direction of many Outback restaurants that are, in my opinion, not worth the visit.

My wife and I stopped here for a Sunday night dinner after stops at Stewart Airport and Adams. This was our first visit to Longhorn, so we were looking forward to it. When we arrived the place was very busy, but we were seated quickly. We ordered the 12 Ounce Ribeye, the Renegade Sirloin & Redrock Grilled Shrimp and a Titos Texas Tea. The food and drinks were well made and tasty. The waitress was fine, but nothing special. The overall dinner was good and wet would eat here again...

Our group of two couples stopped here for dinner while we were in NY for the Christmas holiday. It was great getting together with them and we went to our favorite steakhouse in the area. As usual, drinks were served quickly with a smile. Our appetizers were the wings and Brussel sprouts which were both a great start. Our entree selections were the ribeye steak (two) and Flo’s filet (two). All four were cooked to perfection and filled us up. We finished with some coffees and were thankful for the good friends, good service and good dinner. Another great LongHorn visit proving why, as a chain, they are our #1 choice. Newburgh did a great job, thanks to all the staff.

We have been to many LongHorn Restaurants at various States. We happen to visit this one often, sometimes on our own, and many times with friends and/or family. Our two latest visits were just ourselves (writer and wife) and second with two best friends in the area. There are a lot of restaurants in this area of Orange County, NY , several steakhouses, some much more expensive. We have found, over time, that the quality of food at this LongHorn matches or exceeds any of the others, and the staff is pleasant and helpful. My favorite is generally the Porterhouse or Ribeye. We usually start off with the chicken wings, crispy Brussel sprouts and lobster chowder. They are all excellent. Overall, we love this restaurant site and will return any time we are in the area.

We live in Middletown and go to Newburgh to shop at Adams. We make it a point to have dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse because Middletown doesn't have one. We have never been disappointed with the wait time, the service or the food ... until this past Sunday night. I called ahead to get on the wait list. No one told me to check in, what time, etc., so we waited even longer. Our waitress - Dawn Marie - made it clear from the beginning we were not going t ok get the usual excellent service. I ordered a peach iced tea. She asked me which flavor. My husband asked what lite salad dressings were available. She gave him a list of the regular dressings. Finally, I asked for a container to take my leftovers home. She brought me a box and bag, but took my food away. Not sure if Dawn Marie needs a hearing aid or if she's just not listening. I think a manager needs to have a chat with her.

This is our go to steak restaurant when visiting friends in the Newburgh area. Once again, the quality of the steaks were great, we always love the wings and of course the drinks round out the visit. This LongHorn is up to the chain’s standards, and is a good choice if you are in the area. Enjoy.

We came here for dinner to relax from our long road trip. Longhorn was recommended to me by a friend. I had high expectations, unfortunately, the dining experience did not live up to it. The restaurant is not to blame, it's clearly the menu I do not care for.
The service was great and on point. Our food was good but not the greatest. I was expecting more of a Texas Roadhouse experience. The pork chops were good and the mashed potatoes were good as well.
For myself, it's just not my cup of tea.

Stopped here on the halfway mark on our way home from a DR appointment in NYC. We all wanted real food instead of fast food, and decided on Longhorn. They had a small wait to get in, but it was only about 5 minutes in the long run. The staff were all very friendly throughout our entire visit. We did experience one issue with the meal though.
We started out with 2 helpings of the brown bread and enjoyed it! Everyone got a steak with some type of potato. We all ordered medium well. One steak came back rare. We showed it to the waitress, and she took it back. We were honestly expecting a new steak, but they literally put the steak bit that was cut and the larger piece back onto the grill. That seemed so gross to us, considering the fork and knife we already had been using had touched the steak that was just plopped onto the grill. The food was all good once the steak was cooked, but that honestly shocked us.

I like this place just the lines are always long because people loves their food, better make reservation ahead of getting there, or be prepared to sometimes wait for 1/2 an hour. The baby back ribs are finger licking, love the bread they serve too.
