My family and I order takeout from Citrus at least once a month and eat in the restaurant occasionally as well. The food is excellent and freshly prepared and the staff is very friendly and polite. When we order takeout, it is never sitting and waiting and getting cold andyou know it was freshly prepared - so waiting 10 or 15 minutes for it is no issue - especially since the ambience is so nice and everyone friendly. The ambience of the restaurant is relaxed and comfortable and what I would call - upscale casual. Once inside, you would never think that you are at Five Corners next door to Dunkin Donuts! Favorites of ours are the Malabar Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Paneer and the Thai Curry dishes. The Bagari Shrimp appetizer is fantastic as well...and the Naan (especially garlic) and the Vegetable Samosas and.......

My wife and I just had the Sunday brunch buffet here this past Sunday.
I wanted Indian food and I did a google search and found Citrus.
I also liked the idea of an Indian Buffet. It lets me try everything.
I was not disappointed, the staff was very friendly,
the food was fresh and very flavorful. They had a great
assortment of food on the buffet. I will come back
and eat here many times. For me I love the Indian spices
and the chef staff here is fantastic. I do recommend this
restaurant and give it 5 stars.

We first found this gem while in the area in October 2023 and really loved everything about it from the food, the service, the atmosphere.
So when we found ourselves here once again from Illinois we gathered those same friends and traveled again to try the food again at Citrus.
We were not disappointed everything was even better. The Tom Kah soup, the Paneer in marsala with peratha bread was exceptional as was everyone else's dinner.
We all agreed that when my wife and I return to the area the six of us will gather once again at Citrus to enjoy each other's company eating some of the best Tai and Indian food you can find anywhere.!

Just ordered takeout for the 2nd time within a month and had to wait 20 minutes.......again! This means they are not preparing the food prior to my arrival after a 20+ minute drive. Bad and unnecessary operation procedure. If you're worried about someone not showing up charge 50 % over the phone. Tell people you've had problems with no shows- they will understand. It is a no brainer compared to having someone wait 20 minutes for take out!!

I have been to this place many times over the past few years, but it seems that every time I go in, they have raised the prices. It is now to the point where you can't walk out of the place without spending at least 50.00 while only getting entrees and water. Wish they would understand that the more they charge, the fewer people come and the people that come, go less often. Food is still good, but portion size does not equal price size.

Citrus has been one of my favorite local restaurants for a long time for eating in and for ordering out. I ordered dinner takeout recently and when I went to pick up my food, it was the first time I had seen the remodeled restaurant. The interior renovations appear mostly done and the new look and ambience are very disappointing. 1. bright lighting 2. wide open floor space with a cafeteria like feel 3. open view to the outside lends to a "fishbowl like" feeling. Gone are the "feel" and aesthetics of the prior setting - where there was a half-wall separating the bar from the tables; subtle lighting and screening from the outside road leading to an "Oasis" like relaxed atmosphere. Wait staff hurrying back and forth appeared harried and somewhat stressed. Food was unchanged and as always was good. Outside sidewalk is not done yet and hopefully there will be wheelchair/handicapped access. It seems like Citrus is trying to emulate Orange Hill Bistro in their changes but unfortunately - has fallen far short.

Thai and Indian menus unusual wow . Most of the employees are Indian so we gave the Indian a strong test. Very authentic. we ordered 3 Indian dishes and 1 Thai. The Indian was as good as it gets. The only knock on the place is its a little run down inside but the meals were tremendous.Garlic Naan excellent.we all enjoyed great spot to go after Woodbury outlets.

A rare find in New Windsor. Unassuming facade. Once you get close to the door the Indian cuisine is palpable.
Full bar with very good wine choices.
The food was very good. Large portions. The flavor was on point and for once there was more meat than anything else. No complaints there.
Attentive service.
I will definitely visit again

This is a good Indian restaurant with lots of menu items and fairly good prices. Staff are courteous (most of them at least). Our first server was rude and kept arguing with us that we aren’t allowed to order extra naan or breads for kids unless we order the whole platter of curries. That caused us to order unnecessary items. Then when we checked with other servers they said we were allowed to order additional breads without having to order the entire platter. Food tasted good and the speed of service is good as well. If you visit this place, make sure you speak with multiple servers if you get push back from one server. In general we had a great time here (minus of course that one incident).

It was our first time to Citrus Restaurant. Went with a group. Our first time to this restaurant after hearing many good reviews. It was a little disappointing. They are in the middle of construction so a bit unsightly. (Floor tiles pulled up, curtains hung up to hide construction.)
Very good wait staff. Food was good but not memorable.

Wonderful energy from the staff and really really good food. The Tandoor food arrives perfectly cooked with the heat waves still rising from the food. Don't miss the South Indian specialities--delicately spiced with just enough heat. The friendly wait staff will help with recommendations. I wish I lived closer--this would be my go-to restaurant!
