We were a little hesitant as this restaurant is super rustic. But we were glad we stayed to enjoy the ice cold beer and a simple but freshly prepared meal of sea bream with butter and fresh herbs with hand cut chips and a side...salad. It was good. Really yummyMore

Very kind and sweet owners! Delicious fish and stunning views. Sat together with the owner at a bonfire for hours, amazing atmosphere.

The food was okay, but not spectacular. We ate here the first day, as it was close by lodge on the beach and Delicious Monster was closed. Personnel was kind!

This place is what Port St Johns is all about - great view, right on the beach, wonderfully relaxed atmosphere with African music playing and the staff chatting to each other and laughing away. The food was nice too - I had a big t-bone...steak with chips, but there is seafood available too. It doesn't get any fresher than this, everything being caught off the rocks about 100 metres away. And this is not a tourist-trap - the prices are much lower than the other restaurants in town - only R79 for the steak compared to R120 at another place. Super-cool!More

The Wood n Spoon is a simple little restaurant on the South side of second beach. The food is good but can take a very long time to get to the table. If you are in a relaxed mood and have time to spare then...it makes for a pleasant experience.More

We spend a lot of time at a river near psj so often go in to get supplies. We have lunched at most of the restaurants but somehow missed this one. As already reported its rustic but it has a really nice view, staff were...friendly and good. We all had good food and a great time. Very pleasant and worth visitingMore

This is according to some locals the best spot in Port st John's...I was impressed. Seafood Currie was brilliant, Bream was just as good. The vegies was very good. Basic but very nice. First stop if we are back in Port st John's
