My wife and I met up with another couple to enjoy 'Blues in the Bay'. On our first night, I met up with my buddy and his wife at the Wood Boat Brewery in Clayton. They got there first and grabbed a table inside, which...had a nice view and was very comfy. There was a lot of seating outside on the patio as well. My buddy and his wife ordered up a pizza (hold the sausage) and I ordered a pulled pork sandwich. I also ordered a turkey club wrap for my wife who was coming later. We started with the house made jalapeno rolls wrapped in bacon... very good! We tried a few of the brewery's own beers and were very impressed... tasty and well made. The food was taking quite a while and our server apologized and explained that there had been a mix up in the kitchen (they had added the sausage afterall) and she brought me a pulled pork pizza (not sandwich). I said it was fine and I would take that instead, but she insisted that she complete my order AND have the pizza at no charge. It wasn't necessary but it was a nice gesture. Eventually all the food came out and we were very pleased with the quality and taste. Everything was very good (I really enjoyed the pulled pork pizza!). My wife said the turkey club was very good too. Overall, this was very comfortable place with nice beer and food and excellent service. Even though there was slight mess up with our orders, it was handled very well. I would recommend this place quite highly.More

Yummy pizza and homemade rootbeer. Half size salad was very generous and filling. Pepperoni is under the cheese on the pizza which we didn't love. Server was great, food seemed to take a bit so we were glad we had ordered soup or salad.

This had more of a bar setting, with outdoor seating on the front porch in addition to tables inside. The place was jammed at 5:00 so I would suggest eating at 4-4:30 or after 6 when the place clears out a bit. They are noted,...I think, for their pizza and wings and a beer called Channelside Pale Ale. We ordered wings, but were told they did not have any at that time (very disappointed), so we opted for a pizza with mushrooms. It was hand tossed dough and appeared to be baked in a fire-oven. The crust is a bit on the chewy side. Mushrooms skimpy. Personally, the pizza in itself was okay, but definitely not the best we ever had. I did order the French Onion soup and it was VERY GOOD. I think they made it with beer like they do in Canada. Not one drop left in the bowl. Dining is super casual. Service at rush hour slow because they also cater to "take-out" which was a constant flow from the time we got there to the time we left. One table got there after we did and still did not have their food when we finished and left. The bartender gave them a few bags of potato chips to tie them over, but the lady really looked irked. People juggling for space on the floor, at the bar and for those walking from one point to another while servers literally ran around trying to accommodate everyone. Loud, as in people talking over each other in a small space. Parking is free on the street. Easy to locate.More

Waited about 45 minutes for a table, we walked around & came back in 45 minutes. Then waited 20 more minutes for a table. Then waited about an hour for our food. The beer was good at least. The pizza & turkey wrap were just...OK. For this 2021 Summer Season, all the restaurants in Clayton & Alex Bay are understaffed & constantly are advertising for help. Be aware of this before committing to eating out. Maybe the 2022 Summer Season will be better!More

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the Antique Boat Museum ~ in mid-May. Ate on the covered porch. Our server was friendly and efficient; the pizza we shared was good - liked the thin, crispy crust.

Being they wouldn’t seat us at 7:45 I am Not able to write a review! Who stops seating 1 hour and fifteen minutes before closing. We drove 25 minutes to eat here only to not be able to be seated because you couldn’t take anymore...guests…. Seriously I’ve never turned away guests unless it was after our kitchen closed …. No matter what! RidiculousMore

We arrived on a Monday afternoon about 12:30 for lunch. We sat out on the deck facing the river. We started out with a flight. Everything was very slow, which could be due to reduced staff due to COVID. From the flight we each chose...a beer and ordered our sandwiches. While we waited for our food we noticed a man smoking a vape on the deck covered deck-which I found very odd. The restaurant is also pet friendly, and there were several dogs out on the deck randomly barking at each other. We ordered the BLT and Caprese Sandwich. They were good-but nothing remarkable. We also wanted to try the Root Beer which was very good. Glad we stopped in for lunch, but not necessarily a restaurant that we would return to.More

Was really pretty busy when we went. We were seated pretty promtly and the hostess was quite nice. We sat outside, which is really lovely. Bar seating is available (I found the bar cold). Server was very nice and I did not feel ignored or...rushed and they were busy. They have EXCELLENT beer, and the food is great. We had peronal pizzas. I can recomment the asparagus pizza. Pulled pork pizza also good.More

The vegetable pizza looked great but was absolutley tasteless. No sauce, ice cold and the crust had no flavor. Not to mention service was horrible. Will not waste my time or money on this place ever again.

That was a disappointment We picked up our takeout pies. The good news: the crust is good, including the cauliflower and gluten free. Unfortunately the toppings were not. They did tell us right up front that they were out of garlic, arugula and mushrooms. The...regular pizza with artichokes topping was good. The asparagus specialty pizza was missing half the ingredients including the walnuts and honey. The gf pizza toppings were thrown onto a tasteless sauce. We did our best to spiff it up at home with basil seasoning, grated cheese etc. Maybe it was just a bad night but I’m used to good pizza downstate and this was not up to par.More

I was there today. There was one dog on the deck and another one inside.

Service dogs are welcome inside. Otherwise there is outdoor seating on the deck and your dog would be welcome there.
