This was the worst Mexican food I ever had. Ordered the fajitas and I have to say that thank God there wasn't very much of it. It was terrible. My husband ordered the tacos and they were also horrible. Nor sure what type of taco...shells they were but they were definitely not Mexican. Very strange looking and there was also nothing in them. Service was also very very slow. In my opinion Dos gringos won't last very long just like their barbecue place didn't last long. I don't really think you need to be Mexican to cook good Mexican food just as you don't have to be Italian to cook good Italian food but you do need to know how to cook. That was the missing ingredient with both their places.More

Our family of 7 went out to enjoy our last dinner of the summer. 3 were heading off to college so it's was a last summer hooray. We arrived at 4:15 and were told that the kitchen didn't open till 5 but we could have...appiterizers and the order at 5. So we sat down when when we realized that half our party couldn't be shaded from the sun so,we asked to relocate indoors. At first we were told they couldn't accommodate us indoors expect I was staring at an empty table for 8. We moved indoors to find another large party getting served meals even though the kitchen was closed. We ordered some of the appiterizers that they said was available. They them return to say no chicken empanadas but beef and southwestern. Then returned to say it was actually a mystery emanadaso we rolled with it. 3 strikes, we should have just gotten up and left. So promptly at 5 they took our order. I'm the mean time we had asked for the music to be lower, my son is partially deaf and had trouble hearing us over the music. 4 times we asked and finally we were scolded as they shut the music completely off and told us that now no one could have music. Our order finally came 3 of the chicken burritos had hard rice in it. The cooks response was it was just the crispy rice which was loud and clear hence no music to block out his voice. We listened to him complain the entire time since the pass through window was right at our table. Kitchen was too small, crispy rice is normal and them the music came back on. A couple sitting across from us complained about the music and asked us what was happening. We had no explanation, they were smart they stood up and left. 15 minutes seated and no one even approached them. I was jealous as I watched them leave. New burritos came out but of course the rice was still hard. They graciously took them off the bill. As we left another patron chased us down the driveway to ask if we had been served food. And we told them we had a few issues. He said they were waiting to order but was told the chef had to run the the market. So not really sure who cooked our crappy meal. 4 of us were happy with our selection 2 being burgers. The other 3 just headed out to eat elsewhere. It's really too bad. Nice location with the ability to be a great restaurant. BTW out waitress on the way out explained that they were having problems with the music streaming and that's why it was too loud. One too many lies for one meal.More

REally enjoyed all the made-from-scratch (including hot sauce!) food. All of it was great. And good, fun vibe. A couple of decks, tables under umbrellas etc. Nice, friendly staff too. Oh, and kind of a perfect location, right along the river.

Had been open for only 5 weeks when we visited, but we really liked the vibe, service and food! Lots of outdoor seating, good portions at reasonable prices and the staff was friendly and helpful. The drink menu is also creative and there was a...nice crowd at the outside bar. Definitely a good choice.More

So we had just come from an exhilarating hike where we encountered a bear and got a little off course. What we needed was a good drink, some tasty grubbage and service with a smile. What we got was a terrible drink, a very abbreviated...menu, and below par service! I must emphasize how bad the service was. We walk up to the establishment and a waitress walks right by us without acknowledging us. No hello, no nothing. We sit at the bar where my husband tries to strike up some sort of small talk but what we got in response was a cold shoulder. Three employees swarmed the bar looking down on their cell phones, one slugging down a corona, no eye contact just complete awkwardness. Then a man walks by us at the bar which I believe to be one of the owners , and does not acknowledge us or even smile. This makes for a very uncomfortable vibe. They pride themselves on catering to their locals yet we live right up the road and were treated as if we were miscreants impeding on their territory. The drinks that we ordered were not made in front of us at the bar but in a room off to the side. They were served in awesome glassware( a tiki god and a pineapple),great presentation but tasted terrible. Since we got there between between 4 and five they told us the kitchen was closed but offered some light appetizers. We got the guacamole that had no trace of Lime juice or sodium. The chips were tasty but that's the only positive thing I could say. I heard one of the waitresses putting down a patron at the bar for his nervous laugh. Yikes! Now I feel even more awkward. We couldn't get out of their quick enough! All these factors will make me never to return to this establishment. It is unfortunate because it's such a hip setting and I love the concept, plus I live under five minutes away, love margaritas, Mexican food and a fun time.More
