We had a really good experience in Karooboom. This was our only night in the region for dinner we opted for Ostrich Steaks which was exactly what we were looking for in the Karoo. The food was really good including desserts as well. The service...we got from the lady there was just the best she was very accommodating for everything we needed. The interior and garden are decorated very quirky lots to look at while you are waiting for your food!More

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We came back here after two years as we remembered our amazing dinner - the best braai meat in the Klein Karoo - and on top of that the service and personal experience we received is not comparable to...anywhere else. This restaurant is run by a lovely family who will make sure they make something you’ll love, this will not disappoint you. On our most recent visit, we ordered lamb chops, pap and gravy, amazing vegetables. Everything is fresh and most of the vegetables come from their garden. We enjoyed our return visit just as much as the last and already are look forward to our next trip to Calitzdorp, so we can visit Karooboom again! Side note, this restaurant is easy to find as it right off the R62!More

A quick stop along Route 62 on the motorbikes - and on this particular rainy morning this was a warm haven with a toasty oven and delicious food! Recommendation : the biltong, feta and onion marmalade toastie - the bread is made fresh daily in...the oven outdoors! Sitting by the little Dreamcook stove warmed the wet knees and gave us a chance to revive before carrying on! There is also a chance to buy some local produce - Red Cactus Pear Jam!More

We had an amazing experience at this place, we were greeted by the proprietors son and seated. He also informed us exactly where to look on the menu for the dishes that you would not tind at any other eatery. This is a uniquely South...African establishment with extremely hospitable staff.More

Bad experience. You have to fight off flies while you eat. Found hairs in the food and owner/ manager lady did not even apologize. Will never go there again.

We stopped for the coffees and stayed for the warm atmosphere and ostrich-egg breakfast. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!
