We enjoyed a Pop-up fish and chips evening and were treated to so much more. Lovely fresh salad for starters, excellent well prepared hake, tasty, crispy chips and then the desert! Sitting in the lovely garden with good friends, wonderful weather and excellent service by...the chirpy Liza. An excellent experience.More

I had such a great time visiting - Zomerlust - in Wellington!!! (Zomerlust is a Dutch word meaning summer 'zomer' and 'lust' means joy.) The sparkly lights in the garden made the entire evening feel magical. Esti, your food is an astronomical experience. Sometimes it's...really nice to simply just 'be.' To inhale serenity. Tranquility, and laugh the night away. That evening I laughed a lot. It was truly a joyful summers evening Crystal-Lee Young Travel & Lifestyle BloggerMore

I am always cautious of going to a place that has only 5 star reviews, my wife and I visited Zomerlust for the first time and we were not disappointed. The restaurant menu options get sent on watsap and you can choose from a short...list of items, and you bring your own wine and drinks. The restaurant is situated in our hosts home, which is tastefully setup but don't expect fancy restaurant with waiters. Your hosts is both chef and host and is very good at both. My wife and I were very relaxed and the food that came out is rich and full of flavors, apparently slow cooking is her preference and you can taste it in the food, really excellent. The venue can host around 14 people so will be good to book out for a small group. or just a couples date night is perfect. Now you know what you getting, comfortable relaxed setting with good host, excellent food and overall wonderful place to come, we will be back monthly I suspect.More

We have been to Esti's house restaurant several times now and every time is special - and never boring! Always looking forward to something special on the menu, prepared just for you as Esti considers her guests in many ways - also in what they...would like to eat. We are treated like royalty by Esti and always enjoy the 'real food made real good' prepared with love. She offers a three course meal for a mere R300 per person concluded by coffee/cappuccino if you still have space. This little house restaurant is a special place and I almost don't want to share it's existence with others - but I simply cannot be that selfish and deny others the pleasure of experiencing something so special.More

We had lunch twice at Zomerlust where Esti has elevated home cooking to a new level. Once we came on a summer day as a couple and were so thrilled that we invited friends who know a bit about good food for our second visit....Either lunch was excellent, the succulent kudu fillet was cooked to perfection and the beef on our second visit was a match, not to forget the entrΓ©es. Our friends loved the beetroot tart and we enjoyed a seafood composition light as a feather. You sit on Esti' s lovely stoep and she is treating you like friends. Bring your own wine. The place is a hidden gem in downtown Wellington. A stroll in Esti's fairy tale garden is the icing on the cake.More

This is a home restaurant where Esti’s love of cooking comes through with all that you eat. We had a wonderful experience where the food was superb and the ambience second to none. A meal and hostess not to be missed.
