We purchased a couple of their delicious roostekoek which were hot and steamy - straight off the fire. Perfectly roasted, light and fluffy, the baker certainly knows what she is doing.
We ate our picnic lunch with the hot roostekoek in the lovely lawned area in front of the building. Certainly a delicious stop on a road trip.

We stopped yesterday fo a light lunch as we are from the area. It is affordable good value for food and drinks. The setting is breath taking looking onto the mountais and green farmlands.. What i always like and why i stop is that it is so petfiendly there is a lock up pen to let your dogs out for a run and fresh water. Therre is a lovely lawn to run arround and if you ask for balls they have them to play with you dog for exercise. Its the perfect stop over. Its quick efficient service. The loos are spotless ( ladies) ad the cakes to die for. We also always have a large milkshake which never dissapoints. Staff pleasant.

We stopped here for lunch on the way from Cape Town to Stilbaai. Very busy day (27/12) so had to wait a while before we could draw the attention of a waitress. Fast efficient service after that. Their cheese burger is something different and simply delicious. Sit outside if the weather allows- it’s peaceful and a real oasis on a hot summer day.

My salad was delicious (admittedly salad was all I could really have from the meals because I am gluten intolerant) and very filling.
The restroom was clean and decorated with fresh flowers which made it very inviting.
A great place to stop before going on to George.

We liked this place so much we visited it twice on our road trip to South Africa. The fresh roosterkoeke were baked on a wood fire and were amazing. Good quality friendly service made it it the perfect pit stop on the N2.

Delicious Roosterkoek. Friendly staff. Peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend!

A nice spot to stretch your legs whilst driving the N2 outside Swellendam. Lovely peaceful outside area under the trees to sit and eat, while looking at the beautiful surrounding mountains. The best coffee in the area. Roosterkoek also high on the list of foods to eat. Pretty little shopping space for knicknacks and sweet treats also.

We stopped here for a bite to eat while traveling between Cape Town and George.
Wonderful surroundings with lots of space for pets and kids to stretch their legs and play. The doggy area was a particularly cute feature.
Delicious fresh roosterkoek was definitely a highlight!
Highly recommend!

Amazing breakfast roosterkoeke, with friendly service and beautiful views. There is a lovely garden and play area for kids as well as a gift shop.

We have been coming to rolandale for about 6 years and always enjoyed our stop for brunch on the way to the EC but when we came on Mondsy we were very sad to witness the decline in good food
I ordered the French toast which came swimming in oil/butter and my husband's breakfast burger was oily and had a strange taste
The only one who enjoyed her time there was the dog who had a good run
