Fantastic for a light meal

The toastie pork was amazing and the avocado toast is also well recommended. It is a nice charming place opposite to the main church in a nice setting, quiet and overlooking a park. Very nice terrace. Good place to stop and have a bite.

Fabulous food, staff and location

Wonderful restaurant, so good we went back twice! The food was amazing and the staff delightful! I think we were served by Pauline, her brother and his wife, they were soo friendly and the seating under the trees was perfect. We also visited their gift shop, lovely items to buy and a charming lady looked after us. Would highly recommend!

Nice place to relax

Really a gem in swellendam for vegetarian lovers. The staff is friendly and the food really nice. The bakbrood a bit too heavy for my tasting, however next time a took a salad which was amazing.

Visited the previously impressive restaurant en route from Cape Town to George. We were ignored upon entry. The manager on duty was dismissive and unkind. The restaurant was about 80% full. Food was delicious, but ‘pot luck’. 3 of the 5 of us did not get what we ordered ( and we overheard other tables also complaining). Waitress was friendly. No Covid protocols. No handsoap in the bathroom.

Disgrace and no merci

We are old customers and today we were extremely disappointed! We ordered 2 Ceasar salads which,according to the menu, was suppose to have croutons and a anchovi dressing. We could not find any of these. Sorry but I cannot recommend this place to my friends.

Hi , we are truly sorry for your bad experience. We have been struggling to source anchovies - even Woolworths has not had stock for months now. Our apologies. A great caesar salad MUST have anchovies in the dressing.

This is the type of place that I have in my mind when I think of wonderful food in SA. A beautiful location that has a lovely outdoor seating area as well as by the fire inside. The granola and chickpea eggs were delicious. Beautifully presented by the lovely Ivy. We will return.

High quality, interesting food. Home baked goods are excellent. Really friendly staff. Loved the setting and deli too. Was sorry we couldn’t visit again on this trip!

Excellent spot for lunch!

We had three meals during our family holiday to Swellendam. Every meal was excellent and the staff attentive. Even our dog got treats!

Just called in for a coffee

We just stopped here for a coffee but what a surprise this little unassuming place in swellendam is actually really lovely for a lunch or brunch the staff were very attentive And round the back of the cafe is a great kids play area and garden Would highly recommend

Lovely stop for breakfast

Lovely stop for breakfast - great tasting food, great service and lovely view of church. We stopped here between Cape Town and Plett and it was the perfect stop over to break up the trip
