What an amazing experience! We went to Cavalli for our wedding anniversary. We had booked in advance to enjoy the putside terrace, expecting great and warm weather. It was cold, and the manager was able to accommodate us inside. The food was gastronomic, going with...the chefs menu with wine pairing. Highly recommended!!! Well done, to all at Cavalli! We will definitely be back.More
Service was exceptional and made us feel extra special with some special occasion treats. Food was superb, amazing flavours and beautifully presented. Would just add some music for ambience. Will be back.
We had the most delicious lunch at the Cavalli Wine Estate in the Stellenbosch region. Simon, our server, made some excellent recommendations and was attentive throughout our meal. After lunch we enjoyed a tasting of some of the estates other wines. Our entire experience was...wonderful!More
Food was amazing! Service was amazing! Their MCC was amazing! An overall amazing experience! We had the chef’s menu, and everything was delectable! I would definitely come back for the experience again.
I phoned Cavalli 7 Nov for a picnic booking 8 Nov 23. 1st attempt, no answer with an option to leave a message. A few min later I phoned again, lady will transfer my request to restaurant, I told her that I already phoned ,...there's no answer. She took all my details, repeat my contact number to leave a message that I want to book the picnic for the next day available from 12:00. The time of this second call was 9:50 am. Still in time as they request 24 hours. I phoned for the 3rd time at 11:36 spoke to Gerda. Sorry I was supposed to book before 11;00 for the next day. No exceptions, I ask a few times as it's a special day because it's my life partner's birthday. We love picnic's, he grow up with horses, and used to do show jumping and as we cycling past Cavalli, we love the scenery especially with the horses. For these reasons I've decided to book a surprise picnic. On the website it stated bookings 24 hour prior. With all 3 phone calls before 12:00 they will only book my picnic for the 9th, and not the 8th on the birthday. Lizanda 7 November 2023 082 578 1689More

We had an excellent lunch at Cavalli. Innovative and great-tasting dishes using sustainable ingredients. Very good portion sizes. Wonderful service. And the wines are superb, we ordered by the glass so we could sample a variety. We ordered a la carte, but will try the...set menu with pairing next time. Dear Etienne, Thank you for your valued review received. We are delighted ot hear that you enjoyed your dining experience at the Estate and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future!
My husband and I had lunch here recently and were expecting a superb meal , based on the numerous excellent Tripadvisor reviews. However, we were disappointed. The a la carte menu specified snacks and bread yet the only thing served before the starter course was...some sour dough bread with a small dish of unsalted butter doused in a fairly flavourless oil , both of which were underwhelming to say the least . We each had the starter of smoked fish bone veloute with langoustine and butternut. Unfortunately, the dish was completely dominated by a thick disk of butternut which overwhelmed the small amount of diced langoustine that was placed on top of the butternut, while the veloute, while very tasty, consisted of perhaps about four tablespoons of liquid. This starter cost R 185 and was just about twice the size of an average amuse bouche!. The main courses were no better. The small filet of line fish was accompanied by some laksa sauce and topped with a few deconstructed brussel sprouts, while the Springbok dish consisted of four small rectangles of meat sitting on about two tablespoons of sauce and topped with a minuscule amount of a fig and mushroom mixture. The fish dish cost R295 while the Springbok dish cost R 330 and while the individual components of both dishes were fine, the amount of food in each dish was ridiculously small. While both dishes might just about have been adequate as part of a multi course tasting menu, they simply did not fulfil the function of a main course on an a la carte menu. On the plus side , the views from the restaurant terrace are indeed lovely and the staff were professional and polite. However, based on our experience we would not return.More

We were visiting CapeTown with family, and a friend recommended Cavalli. I must say from the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles. The art gallery is just out of this world, the lady at the reception area was pleasant. The food...was great, the overall service from everyone was really exceptional. Priscilla, our waitress was professional. The ambiance is just so perfect I highly recommend Cavalli Restaurant, top notch service on another level.More
