Visited with some friends for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food. Have to admit that it's taken us so long to visit because all our friends have raved about the food but always say it was pricey. But I am pleased to report the prices were good, except for the Special of that day beef bourguignon at a hefty R200. The lady did say it was a huge serving but when it came we thought it was just a normal size serving. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken with greek garlic sauce and beautiful crispy potatoes with a nice accompaniment of mixed veggies. And the toblerone ice-cream was exquisite.
Would have given 5 stars but service was a let down. Maybe due to staff sickness, the owner served us and she wasn't the most friendly and seemed to lack patience.

So happy to have found our favorite Italian place again in Sedgefield!!
Now in a garden set up where you can have the best homemade pasta, Pizza or daily specials under tree/umbrella.
Yes, Leah, Steve and Al are all still there...just like before (now on the Island, just behind the weekly market).
Bring your own wine, as they are not licensed.
Do leave space for homemade dessert....it's worth every inch on the hips😉

A little gem hidden away on the Island in Sedgefield. A real family Italian restaurant where every meal is prepared with love and pride. Pasta and pizzas are great, not a very big variety but what they offer is made to perfection. Highly recommended, remember to make a reservation. They are not licensed so take your own wine. Service is a surprise, very good with a touch of a pirate.

A different sort of night out. Dinner is served in the owners garden a few nights a week. You take you own alcohol as they don’t have a licence. The food is delicious. They pick some herbs in the garden as they go. The food was lovely. One of the people serving is a real character. A pirate maybe? A fun evening.

We celebrated a birthday at this beautiful restaurant, right in the heart of Sedgefield. Leah went out of her way to match the menu to my budget, and the food was delicious as always. The marinated vegetables are an absolute winner. All the mains are served with vegetables and sauteed potatoes or Steve's home made pasta. The desserts are fabulously decadent. Toblerone ice cream, Tiramissu and the very special Mona Leah. If you haven't had it yet, you need to do it soon.
Being unlicensed, allows you to bring choice of drinks.
Once again thank you Steve & Leah for making this such a special occasion. Our waitrons Alain & Sam were also wonderful.

After my last awful visit to this place when they still had the restaurant in town, I reluctantly agreed to try the new place in a house on the island.
What a mistake! If anything it was worse than my previous visit.
A total lack of hygiene in the open kitchen, with no space for the 3 people in the kitchen to move. Banging pots and pans, dreadful food, dreadful service (we were served by a guy in his motor cycle gear, thinking it was cool?????)
To round off the awful experience, the waiter told us that we hadn't left a 10% tip??????

We love this restaurant! The waiter is so friendly, the food so delicious and the garden setting a whole vibe. We had the tortellini and the lamb shank, and both meals were perfect. It's our favorite restaurant in Sedgefield and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Business annual Christmas Lunch at Trattoria da Vinci another success. Gauranteed of high quality dihes and excellenbt service. Thanks to all for making our annual business outing another memorable luncheon.
Also returned a few days later for my Birthday dinner which was superb !

Family Restaurant with Freshly Homemade meals personally prepared by Owner/Cordon Bleu Chef! Her Pavlova dessert is Devine!! The home style atmosphere is quaintly Mediterranean and the staff is charming and original!! The is a must stop in Sedgefield!

Although this Resturant has moved premises, the food is still delicious. The home made tagliatelle is light and delicious. A family business producing delicious authentic Italian food .
