6 pensioners on Saturday morning. Allowed a few of us to choose from kiddies menu as we were shortly going on the river cruise with a packed picnic... The food was wonderful, beautifully presented and delicious. The waitron was so attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend.

We booked in for lunch on a public holiday (also husband's birthday) and instead of going to van Loveren as we always do, we thought we would try something new. Big mistake in this case. Our food took ages and ages and ages to arrive,...then arrived in dribs and drabs. The kids burgers looked fine, but my husband's bobotie was lukewarm and had been held for far too long, and my chicken pie was simply a larger pasty-style version of what you'd get at any petrol station, doughy and a bit deflated. Our waiter was extremely pleasant and was clearly trying to do the work of many, rushed off his feet in what was barely half-full restaurant. I can only imagine staff hadn't pitched up, but it was a disappointment.More

Robertson for a small town has some wonderful places to eat - and this is the only bad meal I have ever had in all my visits here. It avoided getting one star because the servers were nice - but the food was terrible. Stay...in the car another five mins and go to the amazing Christina's at Van Loveren..More

The restaurant has the perfect setting under gorgeous old pepper trees but sadly the quality of the food does not make this a worthwhile stop. Firstly, the restaurant did not have half the items on the menu. So we settled for the beef pie and...burger. The pie was poorly presented, deflated, sorry looking and over microwaved, not any better than a regular pie sold at petrol stations and perhaps even worse. The burger was ordered on a normal bun (as they offer a beetroot bun) but when it arrived the bun was BRIGHT pink. The waiter quickly assured us this was their normal bun. But it tasted very strange and if their 'normal' buns are that pink I wonder how pink their beetroot buns are? Sadly, my boyfriend said it was the worst burger he's ever had!More

With a beautiful outside seating area under big trees this restaurant located on the Bon Courage Wine Estate is the perfect place to start your day. Their breakfasts are very tasty and their staff is very friendly. After enjoying your meal I recommend you stop...at the wine tasting center. They have such a big variety of wines you are sure to find something you like.More
