Bad food, overpriced, and even worse service. No wonder there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. So so sad. Absolutely nothing like what Cheynes and the rest of his restaurants used to be.

Excellent food truly top class below average service forgot 1 dish that was ordered then ordered tuna tacos they never arrived!! Ordered glass of port with cheese board, cheese board came but no glass of port!! Service all over place no one seemed to be...in chargeMore
The asian tapas idea is great, food is divided into 4 categories, making the selection process not easier as there is so much to choose from. We came for lunch and the suggestion of not ordering 4 dishes each, but starting with 3 each and...then see if dessert is in order, was much appreciated. Portion sizes are good, and some of the dishes were presented beautifully. Service started very attentive, but as the meal progressed, we felt it took longer for things like coffee and the bill to come out after asking. Outside seating is available but not exceptionally beautiful.More
Nice asian fusion food restaurant in the heart of Hout Bay. The Japanese inspiration for the decor gives a great atmosphere to the space. Different rooms, different styles... I love the bar space... The food is tapas style. You can pick 4 for R300. The...Tuna tacos were just excellent. I made a mistake on the duck, which was too rich for me. The service was quick and very friendly. A cool place for dinner.More
some yummy food! Me and my wife visited Cheynes for dinner and it's such nice tasty food with a nice atmosphere, good wine list and our waitress who was Natalie, what a great service she gave us,she was phenomenal,we are definitely coming back
Had a lovely dinner at Cheyne's. Food was delicious, lovely decor, great vibe! Unfortunately the service let them down - basics like removing unused wine glasses, offering a 2nd drink, topping up water etc. Otherwise highly recommend!
My wife and I joined another couple at Cheynes for dinner, knowing very little about it. It was unprepossessing from the outside, but cosy inside, and we were welcome warmly. Our waitron, Sam, was friendly and helpful throughout. We all opted for the Yum Cha...dining experience - a choice of 4 dishes on the menu, which is divided into 4 categories of sea, land, earth and happy endings - and enjoyed everything we tasted. Altogether it was a real explosion of flavour, and we agreed we want to return some time to try other dishes. There was also an interesting range of cocktails on the menu, all of which were offered as mocktails in the light of COVID regulations. Although the kitchen closed early due to lockdown restrictions, we never felt hurried, and the service was good.More
The Station Parkhurst restaurant the overall experience makes you feel like you in London , its a very light welcoming and happy environment, staff couldn't do enough so friendly, helpful, and kind the food was unbelievable everything we ate was fresh and very tasty and...delicious - very well priced caterers to students, adults, and kids all ages great venue for corporates events and birthday parties, mothers, and Father’s Day Certain evenings they have fun cocktail specials and tapas plus more.........Highly recommended have not been to a restaurant in a long time where everything runs brilliantlyMore
Food and atmosphere was superb. Highly recommend this place. Food was unreal! Natalie and Amanda were incredible. There professionalism and warm atmosphere really did make the night incredible too.
The food need to be balanced and toned down so that you can taste the various elements of the dish. Food was over powering and salty in general. Said that, if they give a little attention to detail and balance the flavour profile, the restaurant...has really potential.More
