Love this place! The food is great and the prices are very reasonable too, they run awesome specials so you can save while eating very well in today's pricey economy here. Service was so good and very friendly people there. Will definitely recommend and take more friends!

My family and I went to the VIC and I must say I was impressed with the meal and service, a perfect place to take your little ones to play while you have a good meal.
The steak was done perfectly, efficient service.
Will definitely pop by on our next Cape town trip.

What a lovely place..it was so good I went there 3/4 times while visiting hout bay, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, lovely atmosphere.. the food is absolutely delicious, big sizes and good prices, definitely cooked to perfection and can tell it’s all fresh ingredients.. Will definitely go again when visiting hout bay.. 😍

Given how many positive reviews had greeted this place since opening, we thought we just had to go. Because of all the 'load shedding' taking place in SA at the moment, we were glad to find a restaurant with available tables at short notice, in high season and with its own power.
Sadly, the experience was a disappointment.
Very middle of the road mixed platter of pork ribs and chicken wings with onion rings and chips, nothing really wrong with the dish but no wow factor - also please bring napkins that work (these for some reason all had stickers binding them together, which when pulled off just ripped the napkins to shreds) and ideally, some kind of wet wipe/towel as this dish is best eaten partly with fingers, but it gets messy with all the sauce.
The chili chicken and prawn pasta was a bit lacking in the headline ingredients....not sure if the restaurant is trying to save mone, or just being careless. But not great to leave a customer feeling like she's been diddled.
The restaurant was very noisy (without having that many customers in it) and on the the night we went played non-stop radio, far too loud, with very samey tunes, which started to grate after a while. Surely they could do better than play the radio?!? Maybe get a music consultant in for advice. Also the menu is so littered with spelling errors, a proof reader would be useful too!
There is no buffer between the road traffic noise and the diners, as the restaurant has tent-like curtains on some of the exterior walls, which added to the noise factor.
The decor is a bit weird and totally 'DIY' as far as we could make out, so aesthetically it's not likely to impress customers. All the above factors contributed to an ambience which made us want to finish and leave when ready.....rather than linger and order more drinks etc.
Service was average, at times it was difficult to attract the attention of our waiter when we needed him, which wasn't often - he also seemed a bit clueless when asked basic questions.
We couldn't help concluding that this place is very basic, quite 'downmarket' - and the prices are just a little steep for what you get. It also seemed like it was missing a trick by not having something like a pool table - we thought it could/should be transformed into more of a sports bar with good bar snacks, rather than trying to be a bistro, in which it fails the pass mark. Harsh - but true.

I went there last week I was sceptical because I thought it was expensive but I was wrong. I and my family really have a great day there we enjoyed the food and its super affordable. Highly recommended ♥️

Beef and stout pie too salty to eat. Chicken and shrimp, not prawn pasta had a total of 3 pieces of shrimp. For R145, not impressed. Sorry.

The staff is really what has me coming back ❤️ this restaurant has a great set of people they are wonderful and so sweet plus hardworking staff! If you're looking for great food and service you must pay a visit here. Staff are very friendly and accommodating!!!! ❤️
