We ate in Le Bon Vivant last night. The outside tables were full, but they managed very well with all the diners. I had the soup three ways, which was delicious and very different. I then had the Crayfish and calamari. A great evening with...some lovely Viognier wine.More

A Franschhoek treasure! So happy to see it thriving as Covid recedes. The quality of food is still second to none and served by a slick team of waitresses. All our choices were outstanding from the freshest oysters to start, onwards. But the dishes that...really stood out were the bouillabaisse (de-constructed) and the desert board selection (including an orange soufflé that was unbelievable). For a premium class meal, I rate it as the best value for money in the town.More

It is nice to see the chef preparing the dishes behind the glass wall and we can see how passionate he is and also very friendly he is with his staff. Refined food of good quality. They have 2-course and 3-course menus which are good...value for money.More

Great place to have dinner, the best in Franschhoek. Very friendly staff. We will be back next year, or every time we will be in Franschhoek.

We loved the food here, great value for money and absolutely amazing flavours. It was a nice evening so we sat in the garden. A special thanks to Silvia our waitress for making us feel at home.

We sat in the courtyard for dinner. Good was fantastic, great wine list and the staff very good. This was our first visit but we will be back. Crayfish and sweetbreads!

Truly this is one of the best meals I had during the month we spent in South Africa. I would give it 5 stars if I didn't have to have things taken back that I can't eat. I told them I'm gluten-intolerant, and need a...gluten-free meal, and I was told it would not be a problem. My gf bread was brought on a tray in a pile of other breads...directly against them which I can't do. The next dish was brought with soy sauce on it. I asked if it were gf soy sauce, which resulted in that being replaced as well. The waiter, continued to work with me, and listed all the ingredients for me, so that I could continue to be aware of potential problems. The returns made the meal much slower. However, did I mention this was an amazing meal? The flavors were wonderful, and dessert exceptional! I loved this meal. Would have loved it more if it hadn't been necessary to be concerned.More
