Welcome to and thank you for choosing Let's Frite. We are extremely excited to operate our pilot shop in the culinary capital of Franschhoek. Our mission is to provide you with a high quality menu at affordable prices and speed. Each component of the menu was carefully developed in house and is 100% “home – made”. It was really a great atmosphere, nice location for a “bistro”. The burgers and the fries “truffles and also dirty” were sensational. Also price performance is absolutely okay. We would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Delicious burgers at fair prices. Netter Service. The only limitation is that you only get one slot for 1 hour when you book. For us it was not a problem, as it was closed anyway, but the thought of having to clear the table because the next ones are coming is not so optimal.

Let's Frite is in a prime location central to everything in downtown Franschhoek. The outdoor patio is lovely for good people watching while enjoying lunch. The food was well prepared and tasted great- I'd recommend the french fries, buttermilk fried chicken bites, burger and the pulled pork frites. A great lunch destination.

Great place to grab a pretty delicious burger! The have all options including pork belly or pulled pork and Vegi. Sweet potato fries are also delish, try the Korean BBQ sauce. Perfect escape from all the fancy stuff.

We stopped by out of curiosity last night and discovered this absolute gem! From the warm atmosphere, the friendly staff and amazig (and affordable) food. We were blown away!
These two delicious burgers are last night's dinner and we were gobsmacked at the simplicity and genious of this meal. What you see before you, is the vegan mushroom burger(with it's very own vegan cheese sauce) and the buttermilk battered fish burger, each with side of undeniably crunchy potato chips.
My favourite part was how when you walk inside, if feels like a fine dining experience but when you get your food you get a fun, relaxed meal plated in a cardboard box with the intent of making it simple and giving the food it's dues for it's taste, not how it's presented on your plate.
So if you're looking for a place where you can enjoy your fancy wine but still lick your fingers after dinner, and even comfortably share two burgers and an extra side of fries, I tell you this is your spot.

After a series of fine dining experiences we were craving something more homely and found let’s Frite and decided to go for a burger and chips. OMG these were some of the best chips and burgers we have ever had, five star all the way. If they can replicate this in further restaurants then they are going to do very well.

They state that each component of the menu is made in house and they want you to experience the luxury taste of fine dining, in the form of fast food. This place is hidden down a little alley and a back road next to the library so you have to know where it is in order to dine here. Once here though the prices were very reasonable, service was fast, and the food was good and better than your normal fast food.

A little tucked away, we came across this fantastic lunch spot by coincidence as we were exploring the town.
I had the Chicken Noodles, I was extremely surprised at how fantastic they were. Noodles are definitely a hit or miss most of the time! But this was more than a HIT, the flavour and spice was perfectly done. I loved the crunch of the chicken and ratio of all the components as part of the dish. Very well balanced.
My partner had the bacon and cheese burger with truffle parmesan fries (I couldn’t resist!). He is a big burger fanatic and he said this was in his top 2 burgers he ever had! That’s quite the compliment from a burger connoisseur. The fries were phenomenal, you need to try them for yourself. I am from Holland and fries is definitely our thing, but this will be hard to beat. Best. Ever.
The Cappuccino was a bit too milky for my personal liking, it can do with less milk and use of a normal coffee cup rather than a cup the size of a soup bowl.
We will definitely be coming back again before the end of our stay!

The burger was one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever tasted it was fabulous, with the vegan dressings added to the burger.also vegan Mayo provided. The triple cooked chips were fab would definitely recommend this place it was well priced for a fantastic lunch. My young grandson loved the food and he’s a fussy eater.

The food was very good. We had two different burgers which were really very good. The fries were also very delicious.
The service was a bit overwhelmed by the rush but tried very hard and also apologized that it took a bit. I think that's excellent.

It’s not just about the chips! The sauces are amazing and the sides like the chicken wings or the calamari are lovely. In a wonderful place like Franschhoek with the most fantastic restaurants surrounding it, you wouldn’t expect a chip restaurant to stand out. But it most certainly does! Can’t wait to go back this November!

Visited after we just arrived in Franschhoek after travelling straight from Cape Town Airport. The courtyard is a relaxing setting to eat food in. The menu was varied and I had udon noodles whilst my partner had the veggie burger. Our daughter had an avocado and cream cheese bagel. All the food was good and the portions were big.
I highly recommend. The restaurant could do with some better signage as it is down a passageway from the main strip in Franschhoek Village and will probably lose out to other restaurants that are right next to the pavement.

With so many wonderful high end restaurants to choose from in Franschhoek. You often just feel like a good old fashion burger and fries. Well look no further. Well renowned Chef Ruben Riffel opened this cute takeout/dine in restaurant during lockdown and what a wonderful dining experience. We sat inside next to a roaring fire on this cold winelands winter day. We started with cocktails and ice cold beers and moved on to a lovely beyerskloof pinotage. We all (4) had burgers, fries and chicken wings. The food is wholesome, tasty, fresh and exactly what you expect. A takeout sit-in dinning experience. But delicious. Service was 5 star. I didn’t catch our waiters name but he had a moonbeam of a smile and was knowledgeable, happy and efficient. It’s our second time at this little spot. Definitely worth a try if you are tired of all the fine dining, smart, fancy eating establishments in and around Franschhoek. They are also on the Dineolan booking system. But booking is probably not necessary. It’s definitely a last minute walk in spot.

On a casual stroll through the main street of Franschoek, we noticed the name, which made me laugh! In Afrikaans slang, it means "let's eat alot". What also caught my eye was the test menu for the day, which was either the Middle Eestern Fries or the Mexican pulled pork fries.
Not only was the star of the dish - the fries - crispy and perfect, but the hommus and salad and garlic sauce combo was just amazing!
It's such a perfect place for an afternoon snack!

Decided we had to come back and have the vegan burger and triple cooked chips again. The best I’ve ever had pay them a visit you won’t be disappointed. Great selection of other burgers. We are all fussy eaters snd love the food. Service was great no complaints.
