After a series of fine dining experiences we were craving something more homely and found let’s Frite and decided to go for a burger and chips. Booked here thinking we’d want comfort food and carbs after a day of wine touring. Lovely courtyard setting and friendly staff. If you’re into your burgers and loaded fries this is the place to visit. Great variety, super cheap and the food was amazing. The...taste of the patties themselves also deserve a special mention and loved how the middle was still pink. Even the man next to us was enquiring about if he could purchase the meat! Lets Frite. My son (22) favourite place. Either a take away or a sit down.. but when in Franschhoek. We have to stop here. Staff are super friendly, food are really so tasty and just yummmeeeee to eat. Highly recommended.
Les frites has found its new home next to the library. Decor and positioning is great. Your food is decadent and we love your new noodle bowls good quality food
They state that each component of the menu is made in house and they want you to experience the luxury taste of fine dining, in the form of fast food. This place is hidden down a little alley and a back road next to the...library so you have to know where it is in order to dine here. Once here though the prices were very reasonable, service was fast, and the food was good and better than your normal fast food.More
It’s not just about the chips! The sauces are amazing and the sides like the chicken wings or the calamari are lovely. In a wonderful place like Franschhoek with the most fantastic restaurants surrounding it, you wouldn’t expect a chip restaurant to stand out. But...it most certainly does! All had delicious burgers - the add-on French fries were the best I have ever had - excluding ones I had when in Belgium years ago. Let's Frite is in a prime location central to everything in downtown Franschhoek. The outdoor patio is lovely for good people watching while enjoying lunch. Fun and fabulous burgers. We loved the burgers choices and , me, I wanted no chips. But, when 2 baskets arrived that looked like a fairy tale, my appetite climbed in. Burgers were juicy, but my Aperol was very flat. All 4 teased Baba, Barbar,...Barber endlessly. Great evening.More
Nice corner location on Huguenot Street - we went for an evening burger meal. Load shedding meant they had no power, but the rechargeable light-bulbs were perfectly ok together with candles. No extraction in the kitchen area so the doors and window were open to...provide ‘natural extraction’! It was all quite atmospheric. We both had tasty truffle burgers and fries and a bottle of red. We had such a lovely dinner tonight at Les Fritas. Baba, our waiter, made Sure we were feeling absolutely at ease. The cocktails were very good, the bites, loaded fries and burgers were all fenomenal! And that all for a very good price. I would...recommand this place to everyone.More

We had a very pleasant lunch here. They mostly serve burgers and chips, but they think outside the box and all our meals were interesting and something different. The waiter was extremely professional and attentive. Will come again!

This is a great concept where they basically make thing like burgers, ribs, wings etc… into a fine dining standard. And they absolutely deliver. Fabulous food of all my favourite stuff.
