This is a beautiful restaurant where we had a lovely dinner. The food was delicious and the staff was incredible! I highly recommend this restaurant. We had 15 of us and we were amazed at how wonderful the evening went.

Visited here with friends. The atmosphere was lovely with a log fire welcoming us. The staff were very friendly and our server Simon was a really nice , knowledgeable and friendly person . All the staff were very nice and the food was just amazing.... We came away feeling very relaxed and very full. Highly recommendedMore

We ate at Monneaux Restaurant twice during our stay at Franschhoeck Country House & Villas. It was very, very quiet as we were visiting during South Africa’s winter season. However, even though we were virtually the only ones dining, the service was quite good, and...servers were very polite. The second night was a chilly, rainy night and they kept the fireplace by us going which was lovely. The food was quite good overall. We both had steaks the first night, and they were fine, not great. The sides and the breads were delicious though. The second night my husband had salmon and said it was very good. I had the French onion soup which I enjoyed. The ambiance is lovely and we were able to relax over a good bottle of South African wine.More

We had the most amazing food experience. After having dined at places and really being disappointed with the food, I was SOOO happy we found this restaurant. Great food. Great service. Everything 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

We had two dinners at Monneaux. First night we both ordered bokkum salad as a starter. They were huge. One would have been enough for two people. There was a problem with one of the main courses but this sorted out very quickly. Our main...gripe was that it took 30 minutes from the end of the starter to main course arriving. The waiter did apologise for the wait. The next night didn’t have a starter and went to main course. Both were very good and quick.More

A lovely country house with a fine dining restaurant that sadly was totally lacking in warmth. We dined in a room where tables were so highly separated that we could have been in a morgue. The cooking itself was excellent and dishes were well presented...but the service was professional rather than genuinely welcoming and the whole experience rather soulless.More

Excellent food and service. However, remember to leave a gratuity, even though a gratuity is supposed to be voluntary , as the enthusiastic host will embarrass you in front of all the other diners. Not a pleasant experience at what was a lovely evening!

We were staying at the hotel and ate twice here. Lovely menu and helpful and friendly staff. Service can be a little slow, so, slow down and enjoy the place and drink some more wine! Thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed a very nice dinner here. Sat on patio with a view of the fountain. Food was tasty and staff were attentive. Great setting just outside Franschhoek.

Very good service and food all around. Extremely convenient (as in, on the property) if you’re staying at the hotel (which we’d also recommend!). Will return next time we’re in Franschhoek!

My wife and I had a really pleasant and tasty meal her recently. The staff were very professional, particularly the Manager, Zin Zan and our chauffeur for the evening Vandan, who went out of his way to pick us up from our accommodation.
