We booked at short notice, three of us. We arrived early, were the only diners for a while. The service was super quick and super friendly. Then people started arriving. The service was still very good, and still super friendly. The food meanwhile was delicious. Definitely worth a return visit.

In the region for a wedding staying at three locations within walking distance of this Cafe, we decided to have dinner the first night here. We were told it was one of the two best restaurants in the Franschoek area.. that is not because it is the finest Gourmet dining and oat Cuisine, there is plenty of that in the... More

The restaurant is tucked away next to the library where it is hidden behind a beautiful garden. Really peaceful and quiet for if you want to reflect with some good food and wine, or perhaps a craft beer. I had the pork belly and it was amazing. Recommend this as a break from the rest of the pricey and commercial... More

We visited here for breakfast on multiple occasions during our stay in Franschhoek and always had a great meal, fabulous coffee and very friendly service. The restaurant is set back slightly from the main street, which is great if you do not want to breathe in any fumes from passing cars when sitting outside. Certainly worth a strong recommendation. They... More

Off street location with cafe feel. Menu comes on a chalk board. Large group and everyone enjoyed their food. Selection is simple but food good. Noisy inside with more than one group. Still very nice place to eat.

We had a really good and tasty meal here. No frills but absolutely wonderful local business. Great service and no nonsense food. Would recommend.

Worth a visit for something a little different. Tucked away behind the main drag, with a interesting menu with local dishes as well as main stream. Better to sit outside as interior isn't plush! Clean but basic shall we say but this adds to the charm. Staff attentive and helpful, good food at decent prices. Menu seems to change most... More

We wanted a light Saturday lunch away from the bustle of the main street and were tempted by the boards on Huguenot Street advertising the menus, It proved to be a good decision. We were lunching late and the only people there at that stage but we were told they would be busy that evening. Decent choice of dishes, good... More

Would have rated higher if we'd received a little more attention/service on arrival. Staff were really busy and we were ignored for first 15-20m, but once we'd got their attention, it was great. Had duck confit (fab) and pork belly (good). Would have liked a little more veg but small criticism on what was a lovely meal.

We have dined at this restaurant numerous times over the last few years. Very basic in appearance but do not let that fool you.The menu whilst small is extremely varied and never fails to satisfy. The staff are a delight. A decent wine list with some interesting local smaller winery choices. All in all a real pleasure
