Stayed at the adjacent property, so we w3mt for dinner. The food was amazing!I had the scallops. I also had this amazing white sangria which was delish! Came back for breakfast, and the eggs melted in my mouth. The bacon was so crispy and yummy....Pancakes were delish too. Great service.More
Pier House was one of our favorites in Cape May so Took advantage of pre-holiday and summer rush to visit the newly renovated restaurant. As a significant plus we were able to request outside seating in making the reservation. We quickly noticed the difference in...the menu but attributed it to change in season and renovation. We ordered the escargot appetizer which was underwhelming. The sauce had an odd meaty flavor like pepperoni or hot dog. We inquired thinking it might be prosciutto or something smoked but upon checking the server confirmed it was a garlic herb in olive oil which seemed an incorrect response. For our main dish we had the scallops and mahi mahi. Both dishes were plentiful and good but not stellar. Missed the olives, hummus and overall Greek flair. Not sure we will rush back any time soon.More

Thank you for your honest review. We apologize that you felt the food was served too quickly and your scallops were undercooked. We hope you were able to bring this to the attention of the server qas we would have happily remade the dish for...More
They advertise as "upmarket". "........Oceanfront eatery offering upmarket Mediterranean." If that means snooty, incompetent, and grossly over priced, than I would have to agree. An early Saturday evening seating, so there should be no excuse for what we were subjected to. Rude and arrogant hostess,...Based upon her attitude and incompetence we should have left right then. Server..........there have only been a handful of times in my life in which I have left only a10% tip, which was done in response to poor service.....this was one of those instances. The Cioppino ($39.00) was disgraceful, as it was a salty fish-like stew served in a watered down tomato sauce. The dungeoness crab was not cracked, which was immersed in the sauce which necessitated getting down and dirty with the red sauce in hand, to crack the crab to eat it. The dish was NOT offered with any pasta. (mind you, this was not a la carte), they just didn't offer it....... So I requested it. I never received the pasta. My server never brought it, but he did credit back the $9.00 for PSTA BUTTER add on. In most restaurants this would not be an add on, and if it was, it would not be for $9.00.
*We will never return to this "location", I hesitate using the term restaurant to describe this establishment.
A TERRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE.More
I was hoping for the dijon chicken with was on their online menu and the menu posted on the front door, but the night we dined...it was taken off the menu. I had the other chicken dish which was good but in my opinion over...priced...$26 for a few piece of chicken, some sausage and a few veggies...No bread was serve with our meals and my husband had a tuna dish which was like $38 and did not seem like much. My husband did enjoy the food, but this place did not excite us... It is amazing how just offering a little bread, can go a long way. We ordered drinks and a salad as well, so our bill with quite costly for a little bit of average food....So I give this place 3 stars which is average and we won't be returning ever.More
We were staying down the block so this place was very convenient.
The first thing we noticed was that the hostess wasn't wearing her mask while on the phone (while we were waiting to check in). She did put it back on when she addressed...us.
We also saw the bartender making drinks with his mask on his chin (one reason why we didn't get a drink,). The staff wear masks while serving customers but we can see them folding napkins and other activities with their masks off.
Our waitress from Moldova was very sweet and attentive.
The staff really need a crash course on proper mask use while working in the restaurant.
The food was ok but nothing to write home about. We shared a beet salad, flatbread margherita pizza and crab cakes. The crab cakes were bland with a very heavy sauce on them.More
