The location is stunning ! The food isn’t sadly. The potential for this restaurant is endless but they have a huge outdated seasonal menu and it ends up going in the direction of a hotel restaurant very quickly and for the prices - it’s not commensurate sadly. The appetizers were fairly good and the quality of the proteins was top-notch but sadly not executed with any finesse or ease. I was expecting a lot more sadly but what a view!!! It’s surreal and the staff is incredibly accommodating and kind. They made this expensive experience better.

I took my son and I to dinner here after a great day of skiing. The resort is an easy walk from the Hyatt. When we arrived We were asked if we wanted a table by the windows or the fire. we choose the windows and had a spectacular view of the lake. Our waiter came and discussed the options for the night and his recommendations. We had a Bison tenderloin and a one inch thick pork chop with pineapple chutney. For side we had mashed potatoes and truffle mac and cheese. All were excellent. we start the meal with a wedge salad and a cup of soup. The meal was excellent and plenty of food. I had a drink with my dinner of the golden eagle which was the only disappointing part of the meal. The price was equivalent to a very good steak house and matched expectations for what we received.

We made reservations here for dinner on our first night staying at the Hyatt Regency because it was our anniversary. Since it was early enough, it was not at all crowded and we got seated right away at a nice table with a view of the lake with the only downside that the sun was shining in our faces but a server did lower the window's shades upon request. It did get more crowded and louder as time went on. The interior and ambiance is very cool and decorated very tastefully with a lodge appeal. They offered a tasty bread variety to munch on before our meals. The steaks we ordered were good but overpriced and small portioned. We got a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary which was okay.

The restaurant is very attractive, beautiful atmosphere and beautiful views. The food was disappointing mediocre at best and crazy high prices for mediocrity. $19 for a bowl of soup that was not even full and flavor boring topped with kernels of popcorn that almost broke my teeth. Salad dressing was supposed to be an orange vinaigrette did not taste Any orange at all had no flavor nor did the salmon on top $200 later we disappointed.

A Sunday lunchtime in high season and they were empty. We should have been suspicious. We had been away from Incline for a year and were shocked when we entered Lone Eagle after waiting 30 minutes for our reservation - to find a nearly empty dining room. Moreover we had a table next to the window in the bar and were told they would call when our table was ready but they never did. The reception was run by 3 teens who clearly had no training or supervision. My husband finally went up and asked and we were lead into a nearly empty room.
The menu has changed and was the same as the bar - two burgers, two salads, a steak ( all ranging from $26-$30) and a few appetizers. The vegetarian menu was just sad. The absolutely untrained staff was just sad. The young woman who sat us called our 19 & 23 year old guests “mam”. She gave us one drinks menu and when we asked for more she said “just one per table”, meaning we had to pass it around for all 6 of us to choose a drink. We felt like we were in a comedy. My husband asked again because the dining room was 3/4 empty but again “ sorry, just one per table”. The food was lackluster and smallish. A $27 bison burger served on a small plate with a cup of fries. No one refilled iced tea. It just felt like a dark Denny’s. We all decided it was worth the drive to Jakes or Garwoods in the future, where we would at least have a view. Lunch used to be nice here with a real menu but not anymore.

I had a great time at the bar with lovely staff and a beautiful view, but I'm giving a low rating due to a terrible experience on my way out. They have a ticket system for parking, which they usually validate for free. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped my ticket, and when I pressed the help button, the operator was incredibly rude. Instead of assisting me, she argued about where my ticket was and kept asking if I was a hotel guest, which I am not—I'm a local resident who has visited this restaurant many times. I’ve never encountered such hostility before! She treated me like a criminal, asking me absurd questions like who my server was, and kept me trapped at the gate. This is unacceptable customer service over a simple parking ticket! I hope the managers see this and do something about this incredibly rude person.

3 of us went for a casual meal at the Lone Eagle Nest. We were seated immediately. The menu options were ok. Prices were extremely high for the quality of food. My 8 ounce hamburger was 2 patties which tasted like it was pre-cooked and warmed up. My daughter's caesar salad with shrimp was difficult to eat as it was covered with a off-putting spice. The ahi was good. Fries were good. Mahi Mahi tacos were just OK. There were 3 choices of white wine and upon ordering the sauv blanc was told they were out. $28 for a glass of chardonnay was the other option.
I would not recommend .

Over the past 12 years I have had the pleasure of dining at The Lone Eagle. It has always been priced on the high side, but you are by Lake Tahoe in Incline Village. Food and service was very good.
What has happened?!?!? -
Service - servers are scruffily dressed with very low levels of customer service ability.
Food - nothing short of extortionate pricing. $81 for a 10oz fillet steak, with potatoes and vegetables being $14 and $12 respectively! The food quality, as well as presentation is no where near what it used to be.
The evening started with an insinuation to charge $50 to sit by the window. Yeah right!!
The evening was topped off with the server ‘tossing’ the cheque upon the table half way through desert.
This restaurant is nothing like it was. I’m sorry to say that I will never visit again. Incline Village does have other options.

Noisy. The bar was packed, and if you sit at a table close to the bar then you feel crowded. You must pass two hostesses (there are lines) before you get a table. Why not one?
We came half an hour earlier than reserved, the restaurant was only half occupied, but the hostess told us to come back at the reserved time. Why? I had to talk to her again and say that so many tables were empty before she agreed to give us a table. Yet she didn’t give us s table outside as we asked (and several tables outside remained empty as we dined).
The food was unimpressive. A couple of dishes were oversalted.
If it was an average restaurant with average prices, then it would be okay. But at these prices you’d expect much better cooking, better presentation, better ambiance, and much better hostess service. No complaints about the waiters.

Every vacation, we try to go out for one splurge meal-Lone Eagle was it for us and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic-salmon, pork chop and tenderloin. Sides are too small, and I didn’t think they were amazing-potato puree, Mac and cheese and au gratin potatoes. Asparagus was yummy. Wait staff not as attentive as I would expect for that price point. But Can’t beat the view. Right on the water. Amazing sunset dinner. Access to beach afterward. It is expensive but I thought worth it for the food and ambiance of the beach.

Part of the Hyatt Regency property in Incline Village, this place offers lake front dining and views at a lake front price. The ambiance is upscale ski lodge; large and roomy, but not noisy. It was fine for a business dinner. Service was appropriate, but nothing special. Wine list is extensive with some options under $100. There appeared to be some outside seating and a fire pit.
We began by sharing a $35 crab appetizer that included 3 legs and some shredded Dungeness crab meat. Entrees were the bison filet with a couple of small shrimp for $85; duck duo of breast and confit, and Chilean sea bass, both at $62. I think the fish really was as represented based on texture. This is a big deal inasmuch as very little “Chilean sea bass” remains and most all restaurants peddle an imposter. The preparation and plating here were excellent, as was the case with the duck.
We think Lone Eagle will be a dependable option for casual, albeit pricey fine dining.

Was so looking forward to dining here while we were staying at The Hyatt in the cottages next door. Atmosphere was gorgeous. Food was not as expected. My filet was so tough I could not eat it. Tasted like very tough New York strip steak, not filet. My husbands pork chop was dry and tough. We were celebrating our anniversary and this is a very expensive place so we expected the food to live up to the hype. It did not. We would never go back but I understand it is closing and being redone anyway.

One of the best spots to eat in lake tahoe by far. The service was amazing, the meat is the best meat i have ever had by far and the in and out door atmosphere is amazing. I would recommend this restaurant for any person or family looking to have a great night on the water and enjoy 5 star food.

A group of us stopped by the Lone Eagle Grille for the view and desserts. This is part of the Hyatt Regency hotel and when you pull in there's a gate where you must
obtain a parking ticket ($15/day) to enter the property. But the restaurant will validate for you.
When you walk in, the restaurant's rustic interior is beautiful. The back wall is a giant glass window with an incredible view of Lake Tahoe. We walked through the restaurant and out the back door to check out the beach and Lake views. It's a private beach so going through the property is the only way to access it. Once out there we took pictures/videos and when we tried to get back in the backdoor was locked. We had to knock to have someone let us back in. No one gave us a hard time and I'm sure lots of people do this.
We asked for a table and ordered desserts and coffee. The food here is pricey so be prepared. Our group ordered Baked Tahoe ($20), Opera Torte ($17), Sorbet Trio ($17) and the Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee ($16). We also ordered the Foie Gras Ice Cream ($20) but it wasn't available. The Baked Tahoe is unique and taste great. It's probably their signature dessert. The Opera Torte was average and tasted 'store bought'. But the sorbet and brulee were very good.
The front door hosts were very nice. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. I'd like to come back in the summer and sit outside to enjoy the views.

Was really looking forward to dinner here, very interesting menu. But sadly was only average steakhouse experience.
First of all were seated right by fireplace which was very nice. Then the service dropped off immediately. Our head waiter was pleasant but spotty in checking in, and was awkwardly friendly. Kind of sterile feeling throughout.
The main dishes, elk and bison were very good. Otherwise the sides and starters were marginal. Ordered the scallops, and you get 2. I am all about presentation and taste but that is ridiculous.
All in all for a meal that cost over $300 for 2 of us (and no bottle of wine) not memorable at all. I would not recommend at those prices.
