We stayed at the Lodge for one night, we were in town for a wedding. The Lodge was great, modern and clean bathrooms, comfortable beds. Two couples stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, sharing a bathroom. The bathroom was accessible from one bedroom only, so...we had to move through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom. Perfect for a family, but also workable for good friends. The Lodge is just off of a main road, which means the traffic can be heard. This includes coal trucks. Overall, a great stay.More

Great all round meal - food as per menu, all perfectly cooked and presented, had chicken wings, schnitzel & rump grilled to perfection - only complaint levelled can be re their incorrect spelling of schnitzel else otherwise definitely place to enjoy supper if overnighting in...metropolis of Bethal!More

We did an overnight per here on the way to Johannesburg Airport simply because it had great ratings on TripAdvisor. It lived up to expectations. Even though it is close to the main road through Bethal, it is an oasis of quiet and easy to...find. The whole area is gated and the facilities excellent. Owner and staff were friendly. Wifi at the furthest end of compound was a little flaky, but more than sufficient for our needs. Breakfast was classic with the scrambled eggs especially nice.More

Delicious gourmet says it all. The menu said the preparing would take a while because. Great food like this is worth waiting for but it didn't take long at all. The menu was extensive offering a variety including lamb shank perfectly prepared to sushi. Hard...to decide after weeks of road food and whatever we could come up with.More

We were very pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful hotel located in a small mining town about 1 1/2 hours east of Joberg. We were on our way to Swaziland and wanted a jumping off spot along the way. This hotel was very secure with...good enclosed parking. The room was spacious and appeared to be newly redone. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful.More

Had to look for a B&B unexpectedly on our way home from a business trip. After googling B&B's we chose The Lodge. So happy we did! We were made most welcomed, & enjoyed a beautiful meal with great service. Our room was equally great, and...after a hectic day of travelling we could finally relax! Will definitely recommend this place!More

Don't look elsewhere. This is proparly the best B&B in Bethal. Lovely. Being an avid traveller around the world. This place really made me feel so much at home even though I am so far away from home.

We stayed only the one night on the way to St Lucia. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the Lodge, there was a good variety on the menu and reasonably priced. We had a warm welcome on arrival from...the owner and then from the lady who works there in the morning. Breakfast was great with a fantastic variety of food. Would stay again if ever in the area.More
