We came to enjoy the beautiful view and the good food (home cooking) and were not disappointed. But first, a tip: Sunday lunchtime in good weather: Make a reservation. Book ahead for a Friday or weekday lunch or dinner. It’s popular but for good reason. Food and service are excellent. View is even better. We earned a good lunch after a long walk around the fields. Can’t wait to go back in summer when the beer garden is happening

Lovely setting you can see as far as Frankfurt with Ober Beerback down the hill in the foreground. Food and service were very good , prices were very reasonable, staff exceptionally friendly.

We had made a reservation early (3 days before the visit). 2:00 p.m., 2 people, for lunch, and we had expressly stated on the phone that we were flexible with the time, whether at 2:00 p.m. or, if it doesn't work out, 1:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m., whichever is best for the business - when it's full. We were told 2:00 p.m. is fine, we'll reserve the table for you. OK. We arrive at 1:57 p.m.; admittedly 3 minutes early, the particularly grumpy person who probably assigns the tables: "It's not free yet, wait." and leaves us standing in the middle of the restaurant. We had made a reservation in advance, when we got there it was totally crowded with groups who led the alcohol to their minds and made a huge noise, banging on the tables and rumbling. It was unbearable, even another seat didn't change that. The food was fine in quality but could not be enjoyed because NO entertainment was possible. We ate quickly and disappeared., great evening Go to dinner! I've often been in the valley view, but with friends and family the place will never visit more.
