No better place at get the feeling of really chilling out under a palm umbrella, with your feet up, right on the beach near the Barra lighthouse. They even stock my favourite beer - Laurentina Preta!
The food is good - try the ribs when you are tired of seafood.
They also sell fishing permits and promote sustainable causes.

We returned from a day of snorkelling at the lighthouse and stopped for drinks at this lovely restaurant.
The interior is beautiful and the service was great.

The map of the location of this place is completely wrong. It shows it as located in Vilanculos but it is actually no where near there. Thanks Trip Advisor, spent an hour looking for this place based on your map only to find that it doesn’t exist there.

A good menu can do with a bit of a fixer upper. Otherwise overlooking the beach makes it a pleasant place to be at!

We came across the Chill Bar while we were strolling along the beach and decided to try it out. The setting is beautiful and the clam dish was amazing. We were served by friendly staff who were happy to give us extra bread to go with the clam sauce....I loved it!

The Chill Beach Bar is situated right on the Praia da Barra beach and has an amazing menu and daily specialities, open for breakfast, lunch, dinners and in-betweeners, awesome. We went there for our friends 65th birthday dinner, had great freshly prepared food in a friendly atmosphere and the service was great.. Caters also for the kids and has a nice pool area. Will definitely be there again on our next trip!

We stayed at Farol Da Barra and ate twice at the Chill restaurant. The kids popped over for ice cream and brownies a couple more times than that! The food was great, staff friendly, atmosphere lovely. Staff will also source fresh seafood and fillet for you. They accommodated us late on our night of arrival and made sure we could get a meal.

We were a big group, and even though the food were tasty, some people waited more than an hour for their food. Not accommodating to big groups, but the food and drinks are good.

The food here is fantastic and surprisingly affordable. The best thing, though, is the set up. There are cool lounging chairs outside under palm leaf umbrellas. During the day it's awesome to sit on the beach and leisurely have a meal, drinks, dessert, etc.

We had fish and salad for lunch, sitting under one of the canopies on the beach. Lovely view and atmosphere.
The food and service were very good and reasonably priced.
A 4x4 is needed to get to the restaurant. At low tide a sedan car will take you to within 50 meters.
We will visit again.

You can't go wrong as a massive Foodie I tried all the top rated restaurants in the area and none of them can come close to chill bar. The entire experience here is way more pleasant than anywhere else. You can spend an entire day here. Beach, cocktails, flame grilled chicken, fresh sea food, great friendly service and extremely affordable

Wonderful food and service. Staff is great.
The Chill pizza was the best. Also enjoyed relaxing under the umbrellas and drinking cocktails.
