We were staying at a nearby hotel and feeling hungry. We checked the reviews and off we went for takeout and we were not to be disappointed. The Priya vegetable platter; an assortment of vegetable Pecora, Samosa and aloo tikki. Ample enough sharing and delicious I specially love all the dipping sauces. We had the Rasam soup was uninspired. Their nan was scrumptious. We also shared a rice dish, Vegetable Biriyani; made fresh and very satisfying. The thing that most needed improvement was the bar our bartender, who was also a server, did not mix drinks properly. Stick with beer or wine.

We have been eating at Priya since 2016 when we returned to Springfield. We try not to go too often for fear that our favorite restaurant will get old. Pretty unlikely as we love the noontime buffet (expanded and more expensive on weekends) which is not only delicious every time, but there is almost always something new and different that I get to try each time. I always take one of everything since there is no such thing as Indian food I don't like. (true of other cuisines as well!) Lots of vegetarian options. The spice levels are moderate with occasional appropriate exceptions. Our adult children and grandchildren enjoy the food and service as well. Restaurant is clean and obviously used to be something else which has a dated night club feel to it. The service is efficient and very reserved. Very easy to get to from the Mass Pike and I-91.

Chicken Korma and Lamb Rohan Josh sampled plus garlic naan. Very, very good. Saying mmmmmm with every bite! Basmati rice extremely fluffy. Popadums crisp and tasty. Restaurant very pleasant , better inside than out. Good service, many take outs being picked up while we were there. If you enjoy Indian food you will love this place. No butter chicken on menu but did see passanda - favorites of mine. Well done Priya chefs! I am a London UK Indian Restaurant food expert, great to find a good one here in Mass.

We were in area for sports competition and our hotel recommended this restaurant. myself and six other women stopped in for a drink after our event. The bartender could not have been more unwelcoming and rude. It was at least an hour before closing and some people were still coming in for dinner so it wasn’t a matter of us getting there right when they wanted to close. One of us ordered a glass of wine which was bad and we asked if it were possible to get a different kind and he snapped no so we accepted it and just ordered something different. He gave us the definite feeling that we were not welcome there. Shortly after we received our order he brought us a check, never asking if we wanted anything else. It is amazing the place stays in business with such poor service.

Wonderful lunch buffet — very varied offerings and well spiced. Especially appreciated vegetarian offerings of various textures. Quiet and very clean.

The food was very good, albeit it we forgot to tell them our preferred spice level. We ordered ours to-go and they forgot to include plates or tableware.

I had the lamb madras and it was delectable, especially with the side of mango chutney! I ordered carry out but as I was waiting, I overheard an Indian woman diner making comment on her dish about how authentic and good her dish was. She was invited there by a male non-Indian friend who seemed he was trying to “impress” her with his restaurant choice :) Although I don’t eat Indian cuisine often, hearing that conversation eased my dish choice concern bc the menu is definitely extensive.

Last at Priya, our table of three ordered from the menu and were pleased. This time, we tried the buffet and it is the best around. Please excuse my memory of the names of the dishes so at best, I will describe the food. Started with some mango lassi and an appetizer the has small hollow breads that you stuff with a variety of veggies and top with a water based herb. Pop this bad boy in your mouth and enjoy the infused starter that will satisfy your initial craving. Next we moved to the right and grabbed some fresh rice "cakes" and topped a variety "chutneys". Rice cakes are steamed I think so they are not crusty. Went back for another later in our meal. I tried a small serving of the hot soup (the other was a vegetable soup), and while it was spicy it wasn't too hot. Moving down the line I sample several vegetarian dishes and grabbed a couple of small pieces on naan (bread) to scoop up the goodness. Next I tried some goat and chicken (haven't had goat since the Caribbean, so when you get a chance try some). Some unsweetened chai was enjoyed along the way, and our water glasses were always filled (and dirty dishes removed). About this time, was was pretty full, but was advised to try the carrot dessert. This of course was new to me (as were several other items on the large buffet so do try some new items to explore the options. The buffet was well stocked throughout the mealtime, so items were always fresh. Highly recommended.

We love the food here. We love spicy and they know how to do it right, but they seemed to be seriously understaffed both on the floor and in the kitchen. Our server had responsibility of too many tables to provide proper service to everyone and there were a couple of large tables with probably 8 at each one. We were there at the end of dinner rush and the front part of the restaurant was mostly full. We were seated and handed menus promptly but it was obviously busier than expected and there appeared to be only two waiters. It took close to 10 minutes for our waiter to come and take our order. We each ordered Vindaloo and a chili garlic naan. We were both starving when we arrived and it would have been nice to have some crispbread and some relishes while we waited. It was a half hour more before we had food on our table. Everything was delicious. However, when you eat spicy food, you tend to drink plenty of water to wash it down. We both pushed our empty glasses closer to the end of the table hoping it would catch a passing waiter's attention. Finally, we flagged someone down and got a refill. We prefer Priya over another Indian restaurant which is closer to home but the added wait time makes it difficult for someone who drove a half hour each way and has to work the next day.

Food is delish! The staff is VERY accommodating for those who choose to eat vegan. We’ve been to other Indian restaurants in the area and have found the “one.”

My family and I always stop here during northeast road trips. It’s two minutes after taking the exit off the highway. The spice level is always just right! We are never disappointed.

I am certainly not an Indian Food critic as I have only had Indian Food a few times. The aroma outside the restaurant and the top reviews had me wanting to try something different. I really should have came here for the buffet, so I could have tried many different items. Instead I ordered the mix grill which was a combination of chicken, shrimp, and lamb. It had white and dark meat chicken, a lamb chop, ground lamb kabob, and 3 large shrimp on a bed of vegetables like onions and cabbage. It came out like a plate of steaming fajitas. The flavor was excellent! I normally do not like lamb because of the strong flavor, but this was mild and excellent tasting. It came with a bowl of white rice that was long grain and very fluffy. Before the meal I was brought a basket of a very thin cracker called papadum and 3 little dishes of sauce. One was an onion chutney, the other was mint and a third was tamarind which was brown and sweet. They have beer, wine, and other alcohol available. They have macro beers, and 3 beers from India. I tried the Old Monk 10,000 Super Beer. I also ordered coconut nan, which isn't designed to be a desert, but it was warm, fresh, and slightly sweet and was a good finish to my meal.

Place is great. Love the buffets and the drinks are strong and delicious. You walk in and it smells like grandmas house. The best food around including the five colleges.
