Reserved my table prior and walked right in to my table. The restaurant had a real nice vibe, food was of high quality. My family and I really enjoyed our time. This is a small detail but when I ordered a Peroni beer it came...in a Peroni labeled glass which reminded me of being in Europe (Most beers Europe are served in their own glass).More

We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your experience with us and look forward to having you back again soon!
My wife and I were at Arundel Mills doing a little shopping on a Friday afternoon. Big mistake as it was mobbed and so were the restaurants around the mall area. We were both just looking for a quick meal in a quiet setting before...either one of us got hangry.
We had heard about Vivo and driven by it before but never had a chance to check it out. On a whim we decided to stop in. It is in The Hotel just off the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. There is a free parking garage next to the hotel.
Vivo is not very large, but has a wonderful cozy atmosphere. Our wait staff was very fun and entertaining and made us feel right at home. She guided us through a great appetizer (Crab croquettes) and a couple of entrees we both loved. The gnocchi was out of this world and the veal chop Saltimbocca was very good.
For a drop in, we ended up having a very enjoyable dining experience.More

We're so glad you decided to stop and check us out! We love to hear about our customers' great experiences and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
We were staying at the Cambria Hotel and Vivo is an easy walk across the street. Loved the crusty bread and wonderful oil. dip that came with it. We asked to split a salad and they kindly put two generous servings on 2 plates. Our...entrees were also generous and very tasty. Wait staff was attentive and friendly.More
Upon arriving at 7:15 for a 7:30 open table reservation we were met, (not greeted) by the most disinterested hostess I've ever encountered. Not a hello, welcome, etc just a stare at the floor. We were seated ad sat unattended for about 15 minutes when...I Flagged down a passing wait person who said no one was assigned to our table. A floor manager came by who quickly fixed the situation and we we assigned a wonderful waitress who was apologetic and helpful. Though she didn't give us her name she was easy to spot. She had a ponytail down to her legs! Excellent server.
The food was very average over all. I had short ribs over red skin potatoes. While the flavors were nice the "blistered" cherry tomatoes were not roasted just tossed in, and the potatoes were still very hard, nearly crunchy undercooked.
My wife had chicken Marsala with "zoodles". The flavor was nice, chicken cooked well but the aoodles were may three strands. An after thought. Large portions of chicken, just no "bed" of zoodles.
The bar service was very slow as it appeared only one bar tender for a busy restaurant service and a vibrant bar scene. ... we had several wines that were a decent selections though limited choices. I must add the bartender was cheerful and nice.. just in the weeds.
To make matters worse we received an email from Open Table chastising us fir not showing up for our reservation! The final nail in the "hostess" coffin. Pretty sad front person in a job that should be a vibrant representation of the first impression for your business.More
The food was excellent! We made reservations the day of and when we arrived there was no wait to be seated. The food taste so fresh. And cooked to perfection. We perused the menu before we got there but the server told my husband about...the Valentine’s Day special menu. He ordered from that and has been talking about his dish every since. I can’t remember the name of it but it was scallop, shrimp in a white creamy sauce. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs which was no ordinary dish. Very good and fresh.More
