Went out for a late Friday dinner . The waitstaff was great. Calamari appetizer was simply delicious! We followed that up with the fried catfish served with rice and shrimp etuofe’ lets just say i cleaned my plate!! Wife at the gruper also serves with rice and a veg..... looked up and her plate was clean! lol.... both meals were delicious! I been walking by this place for years, glad we stopped in this night. There are amazing flavors coming out of that kitchen. Don’t walk by its a mist try!

This place was highly recommended to me a while ago, so we checked it out. I had the fried oysters appetizer and a Jalapeno margarita. I'm not crazy about tartar sauce, but their homemade Creole tartar sauce was exceptional and delicious. The oysters were tender and tasty. My friend got the large Summer Salad with fresh blueberries and stawberries, feta, and candied almonds, which she loved. Being local, we don't normally have dinner in Old Orchard Beach, but we were impressed by the food, drink, and atmosphere here. Being a blues fan, I especially liked the streaming blues music that they're known for.

We ordered a lobster omelette. It was very good we also had a Bloody Mary and were offered lobsternwith the bloody mary the best breakfast and best bloody mary in the area. Staff was great, cleaned rest. and sanitizers avail. to customer. The barmaid was 👍 great.

Waitress told us dinner special was twin filet mignon with broccoli and garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes, when we received our food there was only one filet no mashed potatoes and no broccoli. Instead there was corn and some form of vegetables. Questioned waitress about order and she told us that they didn’t have mashed potatoes or broccoli, as for the filet she said that she said twin filet meant they only had 2 filet meals left. That explanation was completely bull crap. Will not ever eat at this place again!!!! Do not recommend it at all. The waitress didn’t even apologize for the mistakes or compensate us on the bill each filet was 37.99 for one tiny piece of meat. We left the restaurant still hungry. and they were over cooked but we couldn’t send them back as they didn’t have any more.

Very overrated. Place wasn't much, service was ok and food was average to bad.
Burger roll was burnt. Fish / chips was frozen fish, overdone with no flavor..Fr green tomato app was weak at best.
Prices were ridiculous for this stuff. Fine dining prices with cheap eats food

This 2nd eatery that I have gone to in the last year coming to Old Orchard Beach I have been very disappointed with their food and prices. I come from Connecticut and had high hopes of fresh fish and seafood meals. I get better in Waterbury Connecticut small portions extremely high prices and honestly not very good how it gets 4.5 Stars I have no idea. Come on down to Connecticut and we'll make you a real fish dinner. $40 for 2 fish and chip dinners one drink one soda and tip total $45 for an extremely mediocre meal. When I come up next time which I will I certainly will not eat from any restaurant on the strip. I work in eateries all of my life and you would never make it in Connecticut

We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your visit but we would be remiss if we didn’t point out that your review stated you visited April 2022. We opened for the season May 5, 2022. Maybe you have us mixed up with another restaurant you visited in Old Orchard Beach?

We found Big Daddy's by accident but so glad we did! We were trying to decide where to have dinner and looked up and saw this hidden gem on the corner. We were pleasantly greeted immediately and offered a seat for three at the bar. We were celebrating my husbands 55th birthday. Janice was our amazing bartender and was attentive to all the guests at the bar. My husband had the seafood risotto, I had the lobster BLT and my son had the fish and chips. All our meals were delicious! We enjoyed our conversations with the other guests at the bar including a local who stopped in for take out and bought my husband a drink. Thank you to Holly from Beach Bagels for the birthday drink. Definitely stop in to Daddy's Bar & Grille - - you will not be disappointed.

I am pretty picky and this is my new go to in 00B. It’s getting harder and harder to find good food around OOB. This is not a super quiet restaurant. In fact we really like sitting facing the outside and people watching. They do have an upstairs that is quieter. I gave it a five star rating because the staff is always very friendly and more importantly the food is always fresh, cooked perfectly and extremely tasty.
The menu is perfect offering some seafood, steak, salads, burgers, etc. this is our second year going to this restaurant. This year I had the steak salad cooked perfectly(med rare) and the Ahi tuna seaweed salad which was very good and tasted very fresh. My husband had the loaded burger which was cooked perfectly as requested(med rare). He liked the burgers so much he got it both times we went there this year. each drink I ordered was made exactly how I ordered it. The rib appetizer was an amazing sweet spicy combo. They have a pretty good beer selection as well. My only negative critique is the bathrooms could be cleaner but still cleaner than most in the area. I have added pictures from this year as well as last year.

Dinner was outstanding. My halibut with fingerling potatoes, roasted beets, braised spinach and a beet/ raspberry reduction was one of the most delicious meals I’ve had. Also stellar customer service. My waitress brought the other two in my party food, informed me that my dish had taken a fall and was being re cooked. Offered me another glass of wine “on them” for the trouble. Look forward to eating here again.

We stopped in for a drink and were able to sit at the bar, a big treat during the COVID times. We have an awesome bartender!very welcoming and all staff was friendly. Place is very clean. We did order the mussels and they were plentiful and delicious and came with toasted ciabatta bread. We are definitely going back on our vacation week next year. Lots of delicious sounding items on the menu!

I came here with family. It was very busy but the wait time was accurate (30 minutes). After we got in, I was expecting something amazing because of how well this place was rated. I ordered the scallop carbonara. After my whole families entrees came, the scallop carbonara took an extra ten minutes. The other people in the party ordered the fish and chips. They were HUGE and everybody enjoyed them. They also ordered the sea food risotto, decent amount of lobster but the risotto was basically rice (overpriced). Besides the wait on the scallop carbonara I wasn’t impressed by the meal. First of all the scallops were barely cooked, bordering raw. Secondly the cheese sauce was very heavy it was hard to taste the other ingredients on the plate. Finally the bacon was NOT cooked. It seemed as though they forgot my meal and just threw things onto the plate. The waitress was friendly but the service in the kitchen was slow.

Downtown small place but busy. The food is fresh and cooked with skills. Very impressed for a place is the center of OOB. I had Salmon cooked to perfection with a lemon butter sauce. My wife's NY Sirlion Steak was cooked to MR also with mashed potatoes. The steak was dry to me which means it was frozen at one time, But everything else was excellent.

We happen to stumble in on this place after reading a review . When we went in the first night they said they were closing soon but took my sister her 3 boys and me in . My sister and I had the Portuguese stew and it was amazing . We liked it so much we went back for the next two nights and we’re greeted by Sophie who was our waitress. She was excellent and so nice and welcoming. I would definitely go back there next time I am in OOB.

Not really great experience. We sat out in the rain when they wouldn’t move a family who was waiting to get a table and it was just the two of us. The order was wrong and the burger was overcooked. Their are better places to go. Drinks were good though.

We were looking for a place to get a lobster roll and stumbled across Big Daddy's. It is a very small place, so expect some wait time, if you go during peak times. Let me tell you, the wait is worth it! My friend got the lobster roll, which she said was very good. I got the lobster BLT. This thing was massive! It was full of lobster and bacon and had to be THE best sandwich I've ever had in my life!! I managed to finish it, but only ate 3 or 4 of the generous serving of french fries. Our new friends, sitting next to us, got the salmon and it looked very good. It was a generous serving of fish. They said it was very good. If you go to OOB, make time to get a meal at Big Daddy's!!
