In town for baseball event and was early morning and looking for local place to support our need for coffee and fast breakfast. This place was great. Open early (at least 7am) and had fresh bagels and grill was open to get breakfast sandwiches and lots of fresh coffee options. The ladies behind the counter were great and speedy to help us. Right off the main strip in old orchard beach.

Stopped here on a Monday morning about 9am. There was a line of about 10 people but it moved pretty quickly. Husband & I both ordered egg, cheese & bacon on a bagel with coffee. Was a nice morning so we ate outside. All the tables inside & out were full but one opened up by the time our order was ready. Food was excellent. So glad we found this place. If in the area, would definitely stop here again.

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Old Orchard Beach and had breakfast here both days. You order at a counter and most beverages are self serve. They have breakfast sandwiches, cakes, bagels, eggs, etc. and deliver your food items to your table . The food is good and the staff is friendly.

We made a stop here for a quick cup of iced coffee. We went mid morning (10:30ish) and had only one person in front of us. I ordered a simple caramel iced coffee with sweet cream cold foam. It took over 15 minutes to get the coffee and 5 people behind me got their orders first. They had 4-5 people working and it seemed like some had it together and others not. The coffee was fine but nothing special.

Bagels were ok. not great. I asked the girl at the counter if they were fresh or needed to be toasted. She said they got them fresh everyday.....if you are a true bagel eater, they are a step above the frozen ones in the grocery store but not fantastic. The biggest issue for me was social distancing...what is that you ask???? Good question. People crowded in next to each other, two lines next to each other and waiting around next to each other. NO SPACE to distance. and no one but me seemed to care. We won't be going back.

To start with my bagel came not toasted although I said I wanted it toasted. I am concerned about the servers. I see people bringing the food outside and Idn if they are actual employees or just volunteers. My concern is that they may not be properly vetted.
I don’t think I’ll go back because of this.

This was a great, easy, quick location. Employees were very friendly and I felt very comfortable with the Covid policy in place. The average score is due to the bagel. They were not soft nor did they feel like they were toasted as requested even though they were. I loved my honey walnut cream cheese but the French toast bagel was too hard in my opinion and didn’t have the nice crunch of a toasted bagel.

When I picked up my preordered bagel, the woman opened the door and said come on in. She didn’t have a mask on and when I said I wasn’t comfortable with her not wearing a mask she acted disgusted and asked if I wanted my bagel anyway with a nasty tone. The bagel was delicious, but I don’t support businesses that treat customers that way. I went across the street later and they were very kind, friendly and respectful, putting on a mask a when they saw I had one on. Regardless of how you feel about that subject, people should be treated in a kind and respectful way or at least not nasty and disgusted.

Beach Bagels at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, had a long line out the door at breakfast time, so it must be good, right? Right???
Our welcome to Beach Bagels was a member of staff shouting at customers to line up from the left and not the right, then another screaming at those coming in for holding the door open and muttering under her breath: “Jesus Christ, how many times?!” It made us wonder why they didn’t have a sign/standee near the door pointing this out to customers to save the constant conflict?
Beach Bagels was as busy inside as out, and the few tables were taken. They had a very slick and efficient system for serving customers - like a production line, you placed your order then proceeded to pay then move on to collection at the very end.
The system was that slick, when our name was called we collected our drinks and bag of bagels, took them outside to enjoy as we travelled to Portland only to discover we’d been given the wrong order! 50% wrong to be exact. So much for a slick system!
Lining up to being served took 30 minutes, so there was no way we were walking back to go through the “production line” and be “shouted out” for not being psychic and knowing their little foibles with the door and preference of where the line should go on the public street. Instead, we decided to tuck into the food we had before it got cold.
We had ordered and paid for:
🥯❌ Plain bagel with sausage, egg and cheese = $5.59
🥯❌ Plain bagel with bacon, sausage, egg and cheese = $5.59 + whatever extra filling cost*
🥤 Iced latte (small) = $4.49
☕️ Hot cafe latte (small) = $3.59
😢 Maine Sales Tax (6%) = $Unknown*
💰 Total = $24.40
We were actually served a sesame seeded bagel with the fillings missing; it was toasted and smothered in butter and incidentally tasted great!
The other bagel, with its bacon, egg and cheese but no sign of the sausage, was tasty too, though the fillings were rather sparse.
*No receipt was given and we suspect we were overcharged for the items we didn’t actually receive.
We were excited for Beach Bagels but it was a let down: the fresh bagels were great, the fillings and order accuracy were poor, and the overall customer service was dire. Consequently we went elsewhere for breakfast the next morning.

Really disappointed. Unfriendly staff rolling their eyes at each other made me feel uncomfortable. Ordered some bagels and drinks to take away. The drinks took ages longer than the bagels which were cold by the time we left. Threw one of the drinks away - supposed to be a banana smoothie but no actual real fresh bananas used to make it. Went to cafe 64 across the road

Beach Bagels was the only breakfast place open at 7 am on OOB. For early risers, like us, we were so glad to find it! Nice selection on muffins, bagels, breakfast items and meals. They also have a sandwich menu. Good coffee....you can get anything you want, place was small but cute and clean....friendly and efficient staff. Also offer outdoor seating. Good place to start the day!

It's been many years since I have been in here- the short hours make it difficult for those who don't stay right on the strip. Important to note though, they have free parking for those who are eating/picking up.
Popped in to try a super indulgent coffee drink on a hot day.
We ordered two smoothies and a mint chocolate coffee drink.
Small inside, but able to hide to the side and wait.
Drinks were slow, but they were making everything to order.
Tasty- decent prices-and lots of things on the drink menu we would like to try.
Muffins/bagels/cinnamon rolls looked amazing.
So many more sandwiches (breakfast AND lunch) and salads than I ever knew.

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. I got a turkey club and my husband got an omelet, both very good. We each got a smoothie, which were also very good. Even though we got there at 2:20 and they close at 3:00, they were very accommodating and continued serving people right up to 3:00. We'll go back again if in the area!

This is a superb place to go for breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful I had the everything whole wheat bagel for breakfast two days in a row, and their freshly brewed coffee. I also ordered a croissant and chocolate milk to go so that I could have breakfast in my motel room before I returned to Boston this morning. Best of all, if you accidentally leave your belongings behind, they hold them for you until you come back to claim them. That happened with a cap I wore there, and took off while eating. They also held on to customers' cell phones.

My teen daughter discovered this place when we visited in July and she introduced friends on our 2nd trip in August.
She said the coffee is DELISH.
tomatoe mozzarella pesto and spinach sandwich is a must try.
Endless bagel flavors and endless cream cheese options
Good coffee too.
Also a great mural for a friend and my 6 year old grand daughter to pose in front of!
