We saw online that they served food, but when we walked in, it looked like they just had ice cream. On the teeny tiny stands, we found the menu. Their ice cream is delicious, their food is good. They had a nice selection of everything,...and everyone found something they liked. They seemed a little overstaffed, but other than that, it was great!More

First visit to Slidell and my first taste of boudin rolls, which were delicious! Fun ambiance with a genuine 50’s jukebox and vintage candies/items. My kids felt the hamburgers and ice cream was ok, but the staff are quite friendly

After a huge lunch in town -- spent some dessert-time here. Young servers were good servers -- ice cream choices very wide - fountain or bottled sodas available Tables also available in a side room AND an arcade/playroom keeps the young 'uns occupied./ Little Free...Library right out back -- it's really neat!!More

I am so glad new owners saved the place. I happened to walk past on New Year's Day & they were open! So I tried Boudin Eggrolls & they were delicious. Music playing at that time was jitterbug, fun!

Every time my grandkids visit me, they always want to go to the ice cream shop. Although there are many menu options, we’ve only ever gotten the ice cream. FANTASTIC! The kids who work there are very friendly and polite. It’s almost like a step...back in time. We love this place!!!!!More

If you go to the far side of the lake during your New Orleans trip, this is an excellent place to stop. They make their own ice cream in house and it's excellent. The decor is fun, but go for the food, whether you like...a simple cone or a fancy dessert.More

Truly an old fashioned soda shoppe that has been used as a movie set (Deadman Walking). It features collections of ice cream scoops as well as vintage equipment. Was a fun stop with kids and adults alike. Walk around the property to see birds, fountains...and a vintage fire engine. This area was heavily damaged during Hurricane Katrina in 2005.More

Great ice cream that is made on site. The building is visual treat with all kinds of ice cream scoops hanging on the wall. The history of this building is really interesting also.

Old Town Slidell Soda Shop is such a unique place to visit. I loved the feel of this shop and Old Town Slidell. The shop is fun for both kids as well as adults. I love the booths with the individual jukebox, the counter area...where you can enjoy an ice-cream sundae, the ice-cream scoops found on the wall, the room with retro video games and even a pinball machine. I also enjoyed all the history regarding shakes and sundaes that are found in the menu. We ordered the hamburger and shakes which were good. However, what I loved more was the atmosphere that has been created at this business. Old Town Slidell Soda Shop is simply put a feel good place and who could ask for anything more than enjoying ice-cream and feeling good about life. P.S. Parents they even host birthday parties for a reasonable price.More
