Really old pub ( Rutlands oldest) but deceptively large once inside with a good sized outside area. The staff were welcoming and efficient and friendly. A good choice on the menu and the food was very good also a selection of cask ales, which is...More

A very quaint pub dating 1700’s not 1600’s as waitress informed us. Sat outside which provided an umbrellard shaded environment. Lunch menu had quite an emphasis on fish dishes (not ideal when you have an allergy to fish) but found an adequate alternative. Good standard...More

We had lunch here today, never been here before and what a disappointment it was. We had read all the positive reviews and hoped for a lovely relaxed meal since the location is lovely and the pub so pretty. I had the large Charcuterie as...More

It’s always a shame to hear that any customer left without raising any concern or complaint yet was disappointed. Both the charcuterie board and the sliders have been incredibly popular - with the award winning charcuterie being produced just over the road here in a...More

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The choice was fine and the quantities adequate. A little more expensive than lunches of a similar standard elsewhere but then the location is quiet, the atmosphere tranquil and the staff friendly so not too bad a combination.

Came for an engagement celebration meal and the location, staff, atmosphere didn't disappoint. The meals were excellent and reasonably priced, and the beer was very well kept. I can't recommend The Blue Ball highly enough, will definitely return as soon as possible.
