During our stay in Chinatown, we stopped in for dinner. We ordered the appetizer sampler, hoping to experience some new, authentic flavors, everything was really bland and boring. The fried rice was good. Our waters were always kept full, that's a huge plus.

Great dim sum, service, ambience, and price. Very traditional and fun location. We came around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately by the big windows. It got busy quickly!

It's really hard to get any chicken item without their sweet sauce. I told them that I needed a spicy non sweet chicken dish and they suggested me to take general tsos Chicken which was also labeled as spicy in their menu. It's actually Sweet...and sour chicken. There is no spicy. Nothing at all. They could tell us or suggested me something else but nope. Every time I ordered spicy non sweet chicken dish I had the sweet chicken dish. They simply don't know what's called spicy and non sweet. Very disappointedMore

This spot is great for dim sum. This is not my first time here. They are typical very busy on the weekends. I have had consistent food quality and service here. I was seated right away. The service staff checked on me consistently and moved...plates out of the way as I loved through each course. I ordered my favorites here, shrimp dumpling, scallop dumpling, chicken feet, shrimp balls, bbq bun and egg custard, soft shell crab and pea pod tips. All came out fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for their authentic food and amazing seating arrangement overlooking the busy street below.More

Food was good. Staff was so-so. Went for dim sum. No carts, you order off a menu. Staff just drops the menu off and walks away, so be prepared to be talked down to and made to feel like an idiot if you don’t fill...it out correctly.More

The restaurant is large and service is good. Location wise is also great, at the front of chinatown gate. Came for lunch. Food is not bad although a bit salty for me. We ordered dimsum. It just happened we ordered fried potsickle and fried pork...dumpling for breakfast in other restaurant in Chinatown and the two were much better in earlier restaurant than here.More

First, I will say the food was pretty good. However, service was not. No one came to take our orders until we flagged them down. Drinks that were ordered were not brought until servers were reminded of the order. There were 6 of us and...each order was brought out at different times. Also, it wasn’t very clean, especially the bathrooms! Would not recommend this restaurant.More

This is one of the most authentic dim sum restaurants I have visited. Most of the clientele Asian, not surprising considering it is at the beginning of Chinatown. What I liked about their dim sum was that it could be ordered individually, rather than just...being selected from random carts wheeled around as many dim sum restaurants do. The quality of the food was excellent and reasonable.More

Wonderful restaurant for dim sum. There was great variety in the menu: meat, seafood, dumplings, vegetables. Went with a party of four. Allowed everyone to share a great number of different dishes. Probably the highlight of our trip to Chicago.

The waitress was rude, yelled at us that it was 8:30. They closed at 9 pm. We quickly ordered hot sour soup, crab Rangoon, egg roll and pot stickers( imperial). Also kung pao chicken, salt and pepper soft shell crabs, and beef chop suey. The...food was terrible. It lacked taste. The womens bathroom was so filthy, it was cringeworthy. No tea was offered. I have never left a review like this. We were in the city just for the night. One of the ABC 7 Chicago food reviewers picture was on the front door so we thought, let’s try it thinking his endorsement of the place was good. We’ve been going to Chinatown for decades. We will never go back to this awful restaurant.More

This restaurant is popular and busy! We arrived just before 4 pm on a Saturday and had no wait. By the time we left at 5:30, people were lined up. There’s no waiting area to speak of, so I recommend going early. The food was...outstanding. For dim sum, we ordered #3, Chiu Chow dumplings, which turned out to be my favorite….my husband didn’t care for them. They have something green in them along with meat, and a slight fishy taste. I thought they were amazing. We also ordered #14, short ribs with Korean sauce, and #36 chicken and mushroom Siu mai. Both were outstanding. Off the main menu we ordered Twice Cooked Pork, which had whole peppercorns and was delectable. Also abalone mushrooms with pea pod greens, which had less pizzazz but was delicious. The service was excellent. The price was beyond reasonable. The only things I could criticize were the martini and wine. They were both cheap and horrible. Stick to the jasmine tea and you won’t be disappointed. Absolutely loved this dining experience!! Thank you to the owners for such a wonderful restaurant!More

We had some dim sum dishes and family style orders of bbq pork fried rice, sesame chicken, and Singapore rice noodles. Everything was very good. The hot tea was perfect for the very cold day we visited!

Dropped into Triple Crown while in town for a concert, specifically wanting dim sum, and wasn't disappointed. This was a busy place. We took a number, had a long wait. So-so food. Erratic, sluggish service, each dish coming one at a time with long pauses between. As a positive I can say that the menu is long and has everything one could...ask for.More
