We had high hopes for a great steak house in Kellogg. Our first visit was burgers, they where good. Second visit we were tired and hungry for a good meal after on the road all day and had not eaten. I had fish and chips. Fresh out of the freezer, all uniform in size. I prefer a dill tarter over a jarred sweet tarter. Nothing fresh prepared about the meal. Gave it one more try a month later thinking it was an off day for chef. Husband had steak, I had French dip. Meat was tough in both cases. Nothing special in presentation or preparation. Waitress was less than friendly,
The restaurant has been refurbished, a bit claustrophobic in my opinion lacking windows to look out ( to see small town charm etc). The dinning room is like a large cafeteria, loud when busy. Absolutely no personality and flow is impossible for wait staff. Needs wait station so they can spend more time taking care of customers and less steps to do so. The young boys hired to bus tables need some training. They were basically thrown in to it, one wearing ear pods ( surely he wasn’t trained to work with those in). I felt like the staff was struggling as well in the kitchen to get a good meal out. We were told the chef was over the top great and prime foods to be expected. Unfortunately it has not been the case in our meals.
On a good note, our friends speak very highly of the breakfasts served at the broken wheel.

Don't let the outside of this restaurant fool you. It doesn't look very inviting, but inside is nicely redone. Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was very good. Tables are spaced fairly far apart. We both had the french dip. They even have Gluten Free buns (no upcharge).

They have good prices & good food.I had a steak dinner that included soup salad &potatoe. The steak was cooked perfect! Friendly service.

We both ordered, but then had to order something different because they were out of the entrees we requested. My husband got steak to be well done and it was very pink in the middle. He was able to give it back for them to cook more. It ended up being good. My chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes had gravy on it that tasted like it came from a packet, not to mention that the potatoes tasted like they had chopped up real potatoes and added them to instant potatoes.
A soup or salad as well as a dinner roll was included, but the soup, Tomato soup, tasted like pizza sauce, and the salad had about three different toppings to choose from. So not impressive. And we never did get our dinner roll. A dessert was included, but the server took our dinner plates away and never offered the choices for dessert. She was gone for 10 to 15 minutes at a time without checking on us. She brought us our bill and we had to actually ask for the dessert that was included. It ended up that the desserts we requested were not available. Due to the lack of options,the server was nice enough to subtract one of the entrees from our dinner bill.
The server was nice but unknowledgeable of what meals the restaurant was out of, how often to come and check on us, or how to communicate with us regarding the bill (we didn't know that we had to go up front to pay, so we sat for 15 minutes and had to call her over).
We will never eat here again.

10/10 do not recommend! We called in for a reservation 2 weeks ago, when we got there tables were not ready for us! Me and my family sat there for 3 hours after my grandpa's funeral and only 5 out of our party of 22 were given food, it took them 2.5 hours so make 5 simple burgers and when we finally said enough is enough and decided to leave an go somewhere else so the rest of us could eat they only had 2 more peoples food cooking! Terrible considering they had atleast 6 employees working but 4 of the 6 just sat around!

I take my Ram 3500 to Dave Smith for service and stumbled upon this restaurant which is within walking distance of the service waiting room (approximately a block away). I ordered a Bloody Mary which was one of the best I have ever had - unlike most places, you can actually taste the vodka! I also chose the Classic Burger and chose blue cheese. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. I'll definitely spend my waiting time here every time I bring my vehicle for service.

The service was fantastic, and the fact that I ordered the Pub Steak medium and it came rare is no big thing to me. I politely asked them to cook it longer and they did. But when I bit into it it was bad meat. This steak was bad and my siblings thought I over reacted, but upon smelling it they trusted my reaction. You know what? No restaurant is perfect and I had a good potato and biggies. I’m ok. But then they charged me for the uneaten, inedible steak. They knocked 15% off a rotten steak. I thought it should have been no cost for the steak but management saw fit to charge me anyway. I have heard good things about this place but when your business is in severe error you make accommodations. Service=A+. But the decision of management….insulting and appalling.

My son and I went in for steak and eggs. Absolutely NO complaints. We ate at the counter. It was clean, the food was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was very comfortable.
I look forward to returning.

Happened upon this restaurant whilst we where on an overnight night pitstop in Kellogg. Oh my, I had the best sirloin steak ever, cooked to perfection! The price for the meal included tasty noodle soup and a very varied salad bar. Dick, the owner, was very friendly and we "out of towners" felt very welcome. Comes highly recommended.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, cordial owner and full tummies. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Generous portions cooked to perfection. Best chicken fried steak we have had in a long time, and we know our chicken fried steak!

We had a large family event here and all had great meals with great service! From prawns to steak, all of us enjoyed our meals.

I have to say the Broken Wheel has the BEST Homemade French Salad dressing, I wish you would sell it! The food is good and the staff is very friendly.

The food was home style with ample portions. I had a great steak that was tender and cooked exactly like I asked for it. The soup was great. The salad bar was small, but the choices were good. Lots of local people were eating there, so they must know the best places in town. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions. We will return for the great food.

Hard to find. It's in an older building and first impression when entering, maybe we should go somewhere else. Stale, greasy smell and dark decor. The food was good, cooked to order and fairly decent value. There's a salad bar and the veggies were fresh. Large portions. Menu consisted of comfort foods.
