Acceptable nosh before a busy day. The gals in there were friendly and engaging. Currently no inside dining, but there are plenty of outdoor table set-ups in every direction you look all around the resort. Our breakfast sandwiches were well prepared and ridiculously expensive. But it's a resort, so... The bacon they used was really thick and lean, and while that may sound good, it had a more of a 'jerky' like quality that required a great deal of effort to masticate (that means chew to all you people in Seattle). But we needed those proteins and carbs, so down it went. Honestly, it's a place of convenience and that's okay...

I don't know if this is an off season only thing or not, but you order AT THE COUNTER. The menus are at the cash register. The condiment are kept in a small fridge and you get everything yourself. They call your name to come up and get your order.
I have no problem with this type of ordering process, but anyone that has never been here before doesn't know the process. There is no signage to tell you how to order. Everyone (including us) came in and sat down at a table and waited. Eventually we were told the process.
Communicate the process from the start and it would make the whole experience much better.
Staff was friendly.
Food was good and came out quick.
Coffee is served as DIY from a pump thermos.
Espresso bar available, quality drinks and quick to be made.

Dinner here one evening. Very quiet in the off season and very good service and attention from the waiters. Food was quite good.

Stayed two nights at the Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, and visited the Mountain Cafe within the resort (near the base of the gondolas) each morning. A very positive experience!
I primarily had an expresso coffee and takeout in order to eat on the balcony of our nearby resort condo, but - since you order and pay at the cash register - I had a chance to talk to a few cafe returnees or “regulars”. They raved about the huevos rancheros and huge biscuits-and-gravy.
My coffees and takeaway treats (muffins and cinnamon rolls) were outstanding, but would like to see when I return a larger offering of pastries and muffins (bearclaws plus lemon, morning glory, carrot cake and bran muffins). Happy trails!

Breakfast at Mountain Cafe was so good. I had Eggs Benedict and my friend had a Breakfast Burrito. The EB with homemade hollandaise sauce were terrific. That is not an easy dish to make. The burrito had homemade salsa. It was just the right amount of tangy.
It was a very busy weekend morning.The chef/owner was cranking out an amazing number of dishes. It was fun to watch him work in the tiny kitchen. We will be back.

My family and I stayed at the lodge for two nights and ate breakfast here both mornings. It is a very small walk up place your order cafe, but the food is made fresh right there in a tiny kitchen and we thought it was great.
Be aware, there is one person doing all of the cooking in a very small space. If you aren't impatient and enjoy where you are it won't be an issue. Order a latte and visit the people around you.
I had biscuits and gravy, my husband the breakfast burrito, my daughter had French toast and my youngest had the kids scrambled egg meal. My husband had the breakfast burrito both days. The food was fresh and had great flavor. Portions seemed just right.

We had to repeat our order to the lady at the counter at least 3 times. She never made eye contact or even looked up at us. She told my daughter she'd figure out her change later and would bring it to her and motioned for the next person to order. Coffee came out cold, bagels hardly had any cream cheese on them. The breakfast sandwiches were just alright. We later notice one of the cooks eating behind the bar and spoon feeding another employee from the same bowl. Hopefully that bowl and spoon weren't preparing food for the public. 😬 We spent a lot of money at this resort it's unfortunate they don't have a decent place to eat breakfast. We will bring our own food next time!

We stopped for breakfast, which was very good and reasonably priced, considering this is at the base of the gondola. You walk up to order, but they bring your food to you.

Conditions on ski mountain were questionable. So we decided to have breakfast. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and I had Eggs Benedict......which both were absolutely delicious. Would have given the restaurant and EXCELLENT rating but the counter service person seemed a little confused. Which is usually OK but the restaurant was not busy and she still made several minor mistakes. That said....the FOOD was great!

Wouldn't go back, the food took quite awhile to come out and when it did half of my girlfriends food was cold. For the price I wouldn't expect to be using plastic utensils either. Definitely a disappointment.

Very busy place. Okay food. Kinda pricy but locations why. Staff freindly. Tables were dirty, they had a hard time keeping up with the crouds it was pretty crazy busy.

We had a group of 8 on a busy Sunday morning. This was the only place open for breakfast at the resort. They were understaffed and unorganized. The person who seemed to be the manager/cook was curt with staff and customers. There was no seating inside and they would not serve us outside, so we had to order "to go" so we could eat out on the patio. We were left standing at the counter waiting to order for quite a while while the line backed up to the door. The person taking our order, made a rude comment to my father when he didn't tip her (we were not being served). Fortunately, he did not hear her. We then had to stand and wait for our orders which took up to 30 minutes. The food was fine, but we wish we would have driven somewhere else for real service.

With six in our group they brought out just 3 meals. They completely forgot about 3 of us. It is not like they were busy, there were only two other tables occupied. Then it took quite a while to get the rest of the food. They were not apologetic at all. Not sure what they were doing the whole time. There was a waitress, a cook, and a manager in the cafe the whole time. We ate elsewhere the rest of our stay. We will avoid this place in the future.
