We had lunch today at the Cantaberry. We had to wait 30 minutes but they took our phone number and texted me when our table was ready. The food was excellent especially the apple spinach salad. My wife had the chicken salad. My daughter had...the club sandwich. They were out of a few of the meats but we were able to find something we liked. We are definitely coming back when we get a chance.More

The food was excellent as well as the service. Deserts are fantastic and portions are huge. We always enjoy lunch here and everything we have tried was good. They are expanding the restaurant so hopefully quality will not suffer. The reason for a 4 instead...of a 5 is the new add on charge 3.5% for using a credit or debit card. This seems a little odd since most every other restaurant is moving to credit or debit only. Not sure the rationale but it is contrary to the rest of the industry. Bring cash unless you want to pay extra for using plastic.More

Food was great! I got the Cuban sandwich which came on the traditional Cuban roll and my mother got the Cuban sandwich on gluten free bread which they toasted. They also sell desserts and she took home a massive slice of their gluten free cake...which was delicious. Such a great find for those with Celiac!More

We’re from Miami, FL so we think it’s safe to say we have a diverse & colorful food palette — Cantaberry in Downtown Ellijay, GA definitely left a foot print in our hearts. The food was delicious (we went for Lunch & Dinner!) the tomato...soup, chicken wild rice and corn chowder were all delicious, my favorite was the tomato basil soup. The hot beed pepper jack sandwich was exquisite. So so good! And the Avocado Turkey Bacon was also yummy! For dinner, we all had blackened trout & wow, what a delicious plate of food— we left nothing! The service was phenomenal both times, even at their busiest during lunch time. Can’t wait to come back to this sweet & patriotic town, that demonstrated real southern hospitality with delicious food & had a wonderful 4th of July parade. 10/10 recommend. Thanks for havin’ us!More

Best meal we had in Ellijay - and the least expensive! Large portions on everything and prices were very reasonable. Spinach salad and chicken Salad sandwich were so good. I got the combo which gives you half a sandwich and half a salad and I...could barely eat it all. Nice menu with good basics done exceptionally well. Service was excellent. Atmosphere on the porch was a little loud due to the traffic but still nice. Dogs allowed on porch. Great place- highly recommend!More

We were visiting Ellijay for the day and stopped here for lunch. We all had different items, mushroom/brie soup (excellent), chicken salad (a little too wet but tasty), pulled pork sandwich (excellent), turkey bacon avocado (good), and the cuban (good). Our server was a nice...guy and kept our drinks refilled which we appreciated. As for the service fee to use a credit or debit card instead of just rolling those fees into the price of the food, they are probably trying to encouarge the use of more cash. Nothing wrong with that. Stop by if you are in the area, definitely worthwhile!More

We made a day trip into Ellijay and stopped in for lunch at this restaurant. We opted for the patio seating so we could enjoy the town square traffic. The staff were friendly and seated us promptly and the food was delivered in a timely...manner. We ordered the Honey Turkey Club and the Cuban sandwiches and did NOT leave hungry!!! The only area in need of improvement was the restroom. There are two unisex (single stall) restrooms in the entire restaurant and at the peak of lunchtime, they had a slow turnover rate. For example, if someone wanted to wash their hands before a meal they had to wait in line until one of the single stall rooms came available. Otherwise, the food and service were wonderful and we would return the next time we are in town.More

Our server Lauren was excellent and well versed in what was on the menu. , the mushroom and Brie soup was even better than my wife makes. They made a perfect Reuben sandwich. I highly recommend it for lunch.

Yes they are dog friendly on the porch, but not inside, like most restaurants. Local health codes usually prohibit pups inside an establishment.

Have only eaten in Ellijay the one time at Cantaberry. It is more of a laid back sandwich shop, not what I believe would sere your needs. I would continue to search on line to look for something else.
