Popped in here after getting cold and wet in the storm, and travelling all day. We had a delicious lamb burger and bowl of chicken and veg curry. Both were well cooked, tasty and plentiful. Warmed us up nicely before heading back to our b&b...for the night. Good service and cozy pub too.More

Nice simple pub food. Good outdoor seating with heaters. Service good and food Dlvry fast. I opted for the Mac n cheese with fried tenders. Just ok. Not much of anything special. Perhaps I’ll try something else or somewhere else next time

Barley Republic Pub & Culture We had a can of cider each. Disappointed to not have decent cider choices on tap. Curry Pub Fries were authentic chips! Curry sauce was not … Roasted Brussels Sprouts were great even without the bacon. Would def return here.

They have food late for the city, but that doesn’t mean it’s good food. We got two burgers that were tasteless and slightly undercooked. The staff seemed annoyed we didn’t just want to get wasted at the bar. Avoid unless you have no other choice.

I visited Barley Republic, this past weekend , with my husband and two of our friends. We went there for drinks and had the worst experience . We had the rudest (female) bartender who was not only rude she was extremely unprofessional . She kept...repeating I’m leaving in 10 minutes !! The entire experience was awkward and we felt uncomfortable she did not make us feel welcomed . The restaurant/bar wasn't busy as it was rather early in the day when we went . You can tell she didn’t want to be there and she didn’t care to hide that . Customer facing isn’t for her!!More

Drove into town for a Jason Mraz concert on Sunday and hadn't eaten dinner (around 11pm) so we had a bouncer from Prohibition Kitchen (after their kitchen closed) told us to check out Barley Republic. We ordered off their late-night menu which was more than...sufficient. I ordered the BYOB with American cheese and a fried egg, and my lovely wife ordered the fish & chips and we split the roasted brussels. As for the price, it is in a very busy business district and I would consider the price to be average however the sides were a little on the lean on the amount, for the price. All the food was hot and well made, and the service was outstanding (Tracey J). We sat inside downstairs and overheard some live music from upstairs, which the talent was incredible. We didn't visit upstairs, but Tracey mentioned that she's the one that schedules the music in the area and is a great live musician; she was right! Anyway, I'd definitely go back and try some stuff on the regular menu, but if you've never been, it's worth it! Try with confidence! Thanks, Tracey, for the great service!More

We ate on the porch with our pooch. The hostess and staff were very friendly and fast. We shared a beet salad. Delicious. I had their special Mac N Cheese with sliced ribeye, outstanding! The wife had the veggie burger with a side of grilled...veggies. She loved it. Cool location, just a block off the main walk. Reasonable prices, good food, good service…and dog friendly. Enjoyable.More

We ended up coming here two nights in a row because of the low key, comfortable atmosphere, friendly wait staff and great food. A great escape from the busyness of the main historic tourist area of St. George St.

The atmosphere was fun and the wait staff was wonderful. As busy as it was, we got full attention. The food was incredible - we had the Tenders (a must-try), Wedge Salad (1 serving is big enough for 4 people), Bangers & Mash (plate licking...worthy). And, let's not forget the biggest beers ever!More
