This place is across the street from my house. It has great views. It's had some growing pains as they're pretty new.
I like the pastrami sandwich. It's big, albeit a little too greasy. The Sunday mimosas are great. Sitting outside, enjoying the beautiful views...of the golf course is so relaxing. Enough TVs are around to watch some football.
We met a bartender there when he just started working at Reunion. We took good care of him, welcoming him to the neighborhood.
The place was hurting for business, and my wife and I have brought lots of people. I closed a huge business deal there over a lunch with a client.
Today, my wife and I came in with my in laws, right before the 2pm cutoff for the mimosa special. The bartender seated them, because no other staff were available. I went to the bar to say Hi to a friend, and then the bartender came back in and said loudly to the staff that the mimosa special was over. It was odd that he said it so loudly right in front of me and my other local friend who lives on my street. I confirmed with the bartender that my wife got our order in for mimosas. He said tersely, No. It was aggressive. I looked at my friend, looked back at the bartender and said, it's okay, I think we'll leave and come back next time. I retrieved my family from their outside table and my wife looked dumbfounded. She said that when she put in her order for mimosas, the bartender pulled out his cell phone and put it in her face, saying the special was over (it was 2pm, so he was correct by the letter of the law). You do not put things in a customers face, ever. My wife doesnt have a mean bone in her body. The fact that he did this to her is unacceptable. She is still shaken.
Also, as an establishment that needs business and absolutely relies upon us locals, offer 2 mimosas. Do something. We've come 30 minutes before the special ends and waitresses will usually bring us a few. We're always happy.
We are now sitting at the Market Street Diner in Celebration. Breakfast was over, but my mother in law wanted an omelet of possible. No problem at all. No issue if it wasn't possible, but nice to see an establishment that cares about its customers.
We see huge portions and are loving the view here. Thanks to the Tradition's bartender and what was hopefully just an isolated bad day for him, we've found a gem. Here are pictures from Market Street Diner in Celebration.
I'm positive we'll be back to Traditions, but now we have another option.More
