This is a perfect example of businesses (and many younger people) having the attitude of "give us your money and shut the hell up". For the record, I am 68. About 1 year ago I stopped making regular visits here because I got an order...of "fish and chips" where the fish was the size of a pencil in a ton of breading and they refused to make it right. I returned now for lunch with friends and ordered a "Nashville Hot Fish Sandwich" which was not at all hot but tasted OK. I also had 2 Bud Light beers in the span of one hour. Next to me at the bar was an elderly couple (probably well into their nineties). The old man ordered the same fish sandwich and I mentioned to him that it was not hot at all but had good taste. I think that comment was the bottom line to this incident. The lady had soup, which she ask to be very hot. It was not and she returned it and said that she would like a larger bowl of soup and she would pay whatever it cost. The server said they only had one size and repeatedly refused the old ladies request. Later I questioned the server why the lady could not get a double order in a larger bowl and I was also told they would not do that. I told her that was very poor service and the server then told a co-worker that I should be "cut off" from alcohol for complaining. That ticked me off and I spoke to the manager who ask why I was so worried about another customer. He did not ever look into the complaint from the lady !!!!! I told him it was terrible service and I was tired of businesses having the attitude of "give us your money and take whatever food and service we give you and shut up". That escalated into a heated discussion and he told me to leave and not come back. During this, the elderly couple was thanking me and agreeing with me. This was a case of multiple employees giving terrible service and refusing to address customer complaints. In all of my years I can honestly say that I have never seen poorer attitude and service in an eating establishment. It was disgusting and shameful and showed complete disregard for any customer service or even caring about service. In a time of reduced customer traffic and employee layoffs it would seem that establishments would be trying to accommodate customers needs and requests instead of driving them away. I would discourage anyone from going anywhere near a Millers Ale House as the company obviously adheres to a policy of "you , the customer, owe us and you should just be happy that we let you come here and eat in our establishment. And, by the way, give us your money , be quiet and what we say goes".More
